However, it has also been a difficult year,
unfortunately strongly marked by conflicts and
wars on the international stage. In addition to
the continuing war in Ukraine and the many
others around the world, the conflict in Israel,
a humanitarian disaster and a failure of
peaceful civilisation, has also been added to
in this last period. Situations that make the
whole world less safe, less stable and are
also a source of serious concern from an
economic point of view. Uncertainty in the
markets affects prices, the movement of goods,
employment and thus confidence in new
investments.
If the end of the year is a time for taking stock,
it is also a time for new beginnings: we look
forward to 2024, which will soon arrive. We
wish for the New Year that wars may cease and
peaceful coexistence among all peoples prevail.
United, all together, we can achieve great things.
This can also be seen in our industry,
for example, by looking at all the work being
done to unify the different standards around the
world.
We hope that the process will continue and
accelerate on the ISO standards front, because
having harmonised standards used at a global
level will certainly bring great advantages both
from the point of view of manufacturers, who
will be able to put products on the market that
will be up to standard in an increasingly vast
number of countries (with the aim of seeing them
implemented everywhere in the world), and from
the point of view of users, who will see the safety
required of systems increase. And this, security, is
and always will be the watchword, especially in
an increasingly digitised world, where attention
to the standards that regulate the sector must
be added to that of the standards relating to IT
security. •

scriviamo.
È stato però anche un anno difficile, segnato
purtroppo fortemente da conflitti e guerre
sullo scacchiere internazionale. Al proseguire
della guerra in Ucraina e delle molte altre
già presenti in tutto il mondo, si è aggiunto,
in quest’ultimo periodo, anche il conflitto in
Israele, disastro umanitario e fallimento del
pacifico vivere civile. Situazioni che rendono
tutto il mondo meno sicuro, meno stabile e sono
fonte di grave preoccupazione anche dal punto
di vista economico. L’incertezza dei mercati
influisce sui prezzi, sulla circolazione delle
merci, sul lavoro e quindi sulla fiducia in nuovi
investimenti.
Se la fine dell’anno è un periodo di bilanci, è
anche il tempo dei nuovi inizi: guardiamo al
2024 che arriverà presto. Ci auguriamo per il
nuovo anno che le guerre possano cessare e che
prevalga la coesistenza pacifica fra tutti i popoli.
Uniti, tutti insieme, possiamo raggiungere grandi
traguardi. Lo si vede bene anche nel nostro
settore, ad esempio, guardando a tutto il lavoro in
corso per unificare le diverse norme presenti nel
mondo.
Ci auguriamo che si continui e si acceleri il
processo sul fronte delle Norme ISO, perché
avere norme armonizzate utilizzate a livello
globale porterà certamente grandi vantaggi sia
dal punto di vista dei costruttori, che potranno
mettere sul mercato prodotti che saranno a
norma in un numero di Paesi sempre più vasto
(col fine di vederle attuate ovunque nel mondo),
sia dal punto di vista degli utenti, che vedranno
aumentare la sicurezza richiesta agli impianti. E
questa, la sicurezza, è e resta sempre la parola
d’ordine, soprattutto in un mondo sempre più
digitalizzato, dove all’attenzione per le norme
che regolamentano il settore si deve aggiungere
quella per le norme relative alla sicurezza
informatica. •
