on the revision of the CIBSE Guide D (edition
2025). In the first session of the proceedings,
chaired by Philip Hofer of Jardine Schindler,
Kevin Vinson (Otis) in his talk ‘Design,
manufacture, and installation of the Great
Glass Elevator, lift 109 at Battersea Power
Station’ spoke about the new lift that allows
40 people to enjoy a 360° panoramic view as
they travel inside one of the iconic chimneys
of Londonʼs Battersea Power Station. Adam
Scott, SWECO, chaired the next session on
IoT and technology, with fascinating talks
on technology, connectivity and Artificial
Intelligence, followed by a session on Traffic
Simulation and Dispatching chaired by Len
Halsey.
