CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
Phase 1 ~ Round 2 of 2
PAR-Projects is in the midst of a major community development project in
Northside, transforming 3/4 of an acre (along Hoffner Street) into a
collection of indoor and outdoor spaces reserved for contemporary arts,
education, and community programming.
With your help, in 2024 we will open a community-requested and city-approved,
permanent outdoor performance stage in the heart of Northside. This space will
be paired with an outdoor movie theater, made from two stacked shipping
containers and designed for family friendly movie nights & film series. An indoor
installation art gallery compliments the outdoor spaces, and all of these
amenities help PAR-Projects increase access & exposure to the arts.
This will complete the first phase of our community development project and
ensure PAR- Projects continues leading the way as one of the region’s largest
Black-led arts & education organizations.

In 2010, we started in our community via pop-up exhibitions, collaborative
events, and a few surveys along the way. A few questions we’ve asked...
Completing Round 2 of Phase 1 will lay the needed infrastructure for the
remaining ¼ acre of undeveloped land at 1662 Hoffner Street. This step will also
activate our West Campus with the construction of our long-awaited shipping
container-based outdoor movie theater. Further, it will create room for our
permanent outdoor stage, as we prepare to kick off our second year of the
Hoffner Street Stage Series.
After successfully raising $500,000 in Round 1, raising $250,000 for Round 2 in
the next few months will allow PAR-Projects to meet the necessary timing to
open and activate our community space Summer of 2024. Improvements to
reach this goal include the addition of new electric, new water and sewer lines, as
well as the addition of concrete footers for our outdoor theater and concrete
slabs for our future installation gallery space. This funding also covers all final
Phase 1 improvements on our East Campus, also known as Studeō PAR.
With your help accomplishing this milestone, we’ll be able to open Northside’s
first permanent outdoor performance venue at 1662 Hoffner Street.
Thank you for supporting our progress and vision!

Looking beyond Cincinnati, our expansion will help us continue
attracting a wide range of talent to the metro area. Keeping this in
mind, our hope is that we will help local talent expand their reach
by connecting with artists we bring to the Tri-State. To assist this
process, we’ve defined a 250 mile radius impact zone which
allows us to deepen our relationships throughout the midwest.
Through this Midwestern reach, we present artwork often unseen
in our area. For example, in 2023 we hosted exhibitions by Iranian
painter Elena Masrour (via Cleveland Institute of Art) and Austen
Brantley — a Detroit-based sculptor, recently named 1 of 6 emerging
artists at this year’s NCECA conference. These shows brought-in and
connected these artists to the networks of our local creative pool.
Launched in 2013, #MakersMobile was our original outreach pod
and Cincinnati’s first shipping-container-based art hub. Prior to us
purchasing land for our Northside Headquarters, #MakersMobile
and Big Blue — our first two shipping container spaces — gave us
a way to serve the art deserts of the region.
Cincinnati 5 x PAR-Projects
Cincinnati 5 x PAR-Projects in 2017 is a great example of how
collaborations can promote a unified community. Neighborhood
parades, live music, spoken word, and fine art came together to
create this dynamic experience.
