FUNDRAISING ANDVOLUNTEERING
Annual Report 2022Throughout 2022, volunteers continued to be central to the operation ofNOVAS’ Street Outreach service in Limerick city. With the service in greaterdemand than ever, their role was vital to providing basic support to peoplewho needed it the most. Providing a warm meal, social connection andsignposting to additional services, our volunteers made a lasting impact on thelives of hundreds of vulnerable people. Throughout the year, they distributedmore than 20,000 meals at the coalface of the homeless crisis.Our volunteers were also integral to our fundraising endeavours during2022. They organised and participated in a range of events, for which weare immensely grateful. Our Christmas Sleep-Out was once again, our singlebiggest fundraising event of the year and was supported by many localbusinesses including Master Chefs and JP Construction. We are immenselygrateful for their financial support, which helped extend frontline services inthe Limerick region.62
