St. Mary’s Park for marginalised households and out-of-hours support for
people who found themselves unexpectedly homeless. In addition, the
service ran our Christmas Toy Appeal, supporting 840 children in the region.

Families in receipt of NOVAS’ services throughout the year primarily required
support in accessing new or maintaining existing housing, life-skills, support
with schooling and access to education, signposting to other services and
community integration. While housing pressures in urban centres are well
documented, households in rural settings are equally disadvantaged with a
similar contraction in the private rented market. This issue is exacerbated
