Broad and Balanced...<br />
Year 2<br />
Year 2 have continued to thrive in their first term of Year 2. We are really impressed with the<br />
children’s transition into the classroom and are so happy to see them getting more<br />
comfortable in their routine.<br />
In English, the children have been improving their handwriting. They have been loving the<br />
warm up activities! We’ve been working on holding a pencil properly, sitting in the right<br />
position and forming their letters accurately. We’ve also been writing sentences using full<br />
stops, capital letters, finger spaces and question marks. The children are amazing at writing<br />
in the past tense and have created super diary entries.<br />
In maths, we have started looking at addition and subtraction. The pupils have been learning<br />
their number bonds up to 10 and we are starting to explore up to 20!
