At the heart of it, the mission of ALADS is simple
but by no means easy - to ensure the rights of our
more than 8,000 Deputy Sheriffs and District
Attorney Investigators are protected. I have met
many of you along the way in the academy, at
training, during meetings or at different events. I
have also been working with ALADS on different
projects and in different capacities for several years
now. For the last few years, as a member of your
Board of Directors, I have had the extreme privilege
to represent us during some very difficult times,
from contract negotiations, to outrageous vaccine
mandates, contentious labor disputes and much,
much more. Together, we prevailed over those
obstacles. But the work is nowhere near done! We
will no doubt face many challenges ahead. I believe I
am up to the task of tackling those challenges head
on and representing us in a manner that would
make you proud. I am Tony Meraz and I respectfully
ask for your vote in this election to continue that
fight for all of us.
