Children without smiles

In the face of the reality that is

imposed upon us, we observe how the

most defenseless part of the human

race, such as children in this case,

experiences violations from all sides.

Thus, the World of Caricature has

always chosen to advocate for the

most fundamental rights that children

have.

The Arts of Humor attempt to

highlight in our consciousness

something that should appear as a

priority when it comes to asserting our

commitment to others. In this matter,

no sane person can remain indifferent

to everything that directly concerns the

most essential aspects of human

beings, namely all the issues that

transcend children, who are the

guiding thread of our future survival.

Therefore, it is our responsibility to

consider everything that can happen

around them.

"Children without smiles"

becomes a clear manifesto of the idea

of survival for those children who are

forced to live with minimal resources

necessary for a dignified life. They

have to face these challenges every

day, all caused by the shadows of

suffering from Wars, Famine,

Exploitation, Child Labor, in short, all

these disasters are evoked because

they lead to a destroyed childhood that

often inevitably marginalizes them for

l i f e . T h i s s h o u l d a w a k e n o u r

consciousness, knowing that all of this

is happening around us today.

"Children without smiles"

shows us what it means for society as

a whole, which does not provide the

necessary means to address this

anomaly, leading to the fact that future

generations will not have enough

resources to live with dignity. Under the

umbrella of the human species, we are

obliged to seek understanding and

respect so that each generation of

children can survive with dignity,

enjoying resources appropriate to

their age and as human beings.

This connotation seeks to

challenge us with the atrocities that

this society treats children with, who,

under the very gaze of childhood, sow

doubt about how to mask reality,

posing questions about the behaviour

of this world that becomes difficult for

them to inhabit.

perspective of those professionals

who, under their own conscience and

dignity, intend to draw attention to the

collective consciousness and the

numerous threats that currently affect

this planet in relation to what children

experience today. The cruelty of its

images places everything that is most

relevant in the foreground, to convey

the sense of contradictory sensations

and emotions accompanied by

reproaches against ourselves for not

living up to the task of not allowing this

st

to happen in the middle of the 21

century.

Institute, together with the University

of Alcalá de Henares (Spain) and the

Stefan Popa Popa'S Foundation

(Romania), are two institutions that

join forces and criteria, actively

intervening in common projects to

support and disseminate Humorous

Caricature. Their primary standard in

all this is the protection of children's

interests through a common program,

in which they are the most important

pillars of these collaboration

agreements.
