Dear handball friends,
After a summer busy with transfers, it is finally time for the Machineseeker EHF
Champions League 2023/24 to throw off! After an eventful and historic 2022/23
season, it is wonderful to be partnering once again with Machineseeker for the 31st
season of the EHF Champions League and to look forward to yet more memories being
made on handball courts across Europe.
SC Magdeburg triumphed last year in a thrilling EHF FINAL4, denying Barça a third
straight trophy. The German side are back again this season to try and defend that
title, but must first face the likes of fellow former champions Barça and Montpellier
HB, regular EHF FINAL4 contenders Telekom Veszprém HC, and strong sides such as
Orlen Wisla Plock, GOG, RK Celje Pivovarna Lasko and FC Porto in group B.
In group A, KS Kielce, who have been runners-up for the last two years, will surely
want to avenge their losses and regain the title they last won in 2016. They are drawn
in a group with Paris Saint-Germain, who they met in the semi-final in Cologne in July;
four-time champions THW Kiel; and 2021 runners-up Aalborg Håndbold; not to
mention OTP Bank-PICK Szeged, HC Zagreb, HC Eurofarm Pelister, and tournament
debutants Kolstad Handball.
As in last season, all Machineseeker EHF Champions League 2023/24 matches will
be played on Wednesdays and Thursdays (at 18:45 and 20:45 CE(S)T). The two bestranked
teams from each group will advance directly to the quarter-finals, while the
teams finishing between third and sixth will proceed to the play-offs.
