MZUZI is a inquiry based story that combines real history,
social development, and also has literacy components

crowded and gangs were formed to scare
people away. The gangs were mostly Irish
people. The police did very little, and before
they knew it, beaches and other places where
people could just hang out were segregated.”

used to be a large swampy forest area. It is believed
that the box was placed here out of the reach of
the edge of the forest so that it would not sink or be
swept away to the lake.” Mzuzi nodded. “I see. Over
the years, everything must have been built around it.”

MZUZI which means innovate in Swahili, are
the stores our students opened 7 years ago to
sell their products. The stores have morphed
into micro school tutoring spots for everyone
in the community to access META24 equipment
and curriculum.
Apprenticeships - Once students develop
transferable skills, we connect them to jobs located
within the WFH ecosystem. These jobs prepare
them for entry apprenticeship programs for the
larger job market.

Our theory of change is that Skill Development (i.e., core, transferable, and advanced training in
emerging industries) supports Workforce Integration. In turn Workforce Integration enables Wealth
Creation (i.e., career sustainability and homeownership) in underserved communities. Wealth Creation
then fosters Community Stability that improves the overall quality of life in disinvested neighborhoods.
Our approach prioritizes both innovation and collaboration to bring about equity to disconnected youth
in any community. We serve this population by innovating upon traditional models of education and
career attainment that rely disproportionately on a linear framework that moves young people from high
school completion to college graduation, to career attainment. In communities hardest hit by poverty
and crime, over-reliance on this framework has resulted in high levels of school disengagement and
corresponding rates of high school incompletion.

Licensing
Our expansive curriculum that goes along
with the labs is our own and while we were
interested in modernizing the system
further, there is no real need with AI and
the machinery. More importantly it is the
system of teaching with the curriculum that
is vital to it working as schools are really
struggling to connect with kids. We want
to ensure that every school has access to
this curriculum from 3rd grade to adults
and it will change the way we help our
most marginalized succeed.

From the attached PDF index of courses
we want to provide this at a very low cost
to every school district in the country with
the idea that they will start building labs
either like our store fronts or the 14 lab
build outs in our districts. We want to
make it so affordable that the vast
majority of districts do not only not want
to pass on it , that with our unique healing
through doing PD, will continue to build
their schools to access better features of
the curriculum. Our goal is to price the
curriculums that do not actually work in
the communities out of the market.

This is where the $18B industry can also
be disrupted and help with the initial
portion. We are developing a unique app to
encapsulate what we already do in our PD
training that teachers love. We have
received state funding in two states to do
this training and we believe we can
eventually do it not only in every state but
more cost effective is offer such a healing
experience that schools will be lining up to
experience the PD with the proper
marketing of the app.

HEALING THROUGH DOING PD
SELF AND COMMUNITY EXPLORATION
Search ourselves so we can see the humanity in issues
we believe keep us from feeling free to dream and to be
successful. We take you on an exploratory healing
mission.
DOCUMENT
Too often we talk about the tip of the limbs but do not
get to the roots of issues. Your cohort will put together a
short film festival and utilize three of our labs to learn
about your students, self, community, and solution.
PROJECT DESIGN
We will begin the process of a project for your
school to design as you experience various
systems of learning during your time with us.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
The main focus is getting some time to return to district
full of energy, hope, heard, and ready to inspire the your
fellow educators and students to change.

I started these systems of learning after realizing folks were not going to push hard
enough to change the narrative I saw as a kid, in foster care, as a teacher, principal, in
a documentary, as a reformer, etc. I want the same for this kid as I do for me own and
that is access. The potential of this is to have our own Montessori that actually
changes our communities and households as we take hold of our systems of learning
and the resources that come with them.
