Jason Nordt is a 14-year employee with the DC Department of Public Works Fleet<br />

Management Administration, starting with the agency in 2009 after graduating from Bowie State<br />

University. Since then, he has had multiple opportunities that have allowed him to advance his career.<br />

He is currently the Fuel Management Officer for the Department of Public Works Fleet Management<br />

Administration. He has a background in fuel infrastructure, stormwater compliance, data analysis, realtime<br />

reporting, vehicle technology, vendor relations, contract management, and customer service. Our<br />

mission is to follow federal and local initiatives to advance alternative fuel usage, electrification, and<br />

modernization. He has actively participated in increasing alternative fuel usage and electrification at<br />

DPW, managing the B100 Pilot Project and the District of Columbia Fleet Electric Vehicle Charging<br />

Station Program. I also oversee the 12 District-owned fuel stations and mobile tankers that support<br />

over 6,000 municipal assets in the District of Columbia. <strong>The</strong>se assets include refuse trucks, generators,<br />

frontend loaders, 6-wheel dumps, wrecker trucks, mobile command units, and sedans.<br />

At DPW FMA, they strive to lead the way for a cleaner environment and reduce greenhouse gas<br />

emissions to improve living conditions for citizens here in the District of Columbia.<br />

He is an active member of the NAFA Fleet Management Association and the American Public Works<br />

Association.<br />

Walt is a graduate of American University with degrees in Political Science and Economics. He also<br />

holds a law degree from New York Law School. He has a passion for the automotive industry and the<br />

environment. Combining those passions was the inspiration for Ally Power. Walt's goal is to make it<br />

possible for every person to convert to clean vehicles.
