OCTOBER IN VENICE There are several reasons to recommend a visit to Venice, even more so if it falls in the month of October. First and foremost, the mild climate that heralds the winter season but also offers the pleasures that only a few cities can provide. But what to recommend?... Without a doubt, the simplest things. For example, getting intoxicated by a lagoon sunset or strolling until you get lost (only to find yourself again) along the labyrinth of alleys; crossing the Grand Canal by water aboard one of the last gondola ferries or being captivated by the multitude of shop windows and boutiques, or yet, enjoying an aperitif, a coffee, an ice cream, a dinner while savoring the city's small squares or climbing one of the many bell towers and being enchanted by a bird's-eye view.

Come avviene in tutte le città quando ci si deve
spostare da un punto all’altro nel minor tempo
possibile la soluzione migliore è il taxi.
Anche qui il riferimento, lo fanno i rispettivi stazi
(stazioni) disposti nei punti nevralgici della città.
Il servizio organizzato da più compagnie, avviene
su motoscafi veloci chiamati “lance” e contraddistinti
da una fascia orizzontale gialla.
Le tariffe sono, secondo regolamento del Comune
di Venezia, uniche per tutte le società, e il
servizio è accessibile presso le stazioni comunali
Taxi, o qualsiasi pontile pubblico o privato chiamando
lo 041.59.64 (RadioTaxi).

WATER TAXIS
As in all cities, when one has to move from one
part to the next in the shortest possible time, the
best solution is a taxi.
Here too the hubs are the respective stazi (stations)
located in crucial parts in town.
This service, organised by several companies,
takes place on fast motor-boats called “lance”,
marked by a horizontal yellow stripe.
As per Venice Municipality regulations, tariffs are
the same for all companies, and service is accessible
at the municipal Taxi stations, or at any public
or private jetty by calling 041.59.64 (RadioTaxi).
