OCTOBER IN VENICE There are several reasons to recommend a visit to Venice, even more so if it falls in the month of October. First and foremost, the mild climate that heralds the winter season but also offers the pleasures that only a few cities can provide. But what to recommend?... Without a doubt, the simplest things. For example, getting intoxicated by a lagoon sunset or strolling until you get lost (only to find yourself again) along the labyrinth of alleys; crossing the Grand Canal by water aboard one of the last gondola ferries or being captivated by the multitude of shop windows and boutiques, or yet, enjoying an aperitif, a coffee, an ice cream, a dinner while savoring the city's small squares or climbing one of the many bell towers and being enchanted by a bird's-eye view.

Giunta alla quindicesima edizione questa
spettacolare regata si snoda su un percorso che

San Marco, dove si affacciano la vecchia e la nuova
sede della Compagnia della Vela, prestigioso e
ultracentenario club veneziano.

• CAMMINATA ROSA
Partenza dal Piazzale della Stazione di Santa Lucia,
domenica 15 ottobre, ore 10.00.
Ottava edizione della marcia benefica a favore
della prevenzione del tumore al seno.
La marcia affronterà un percorso cittadino di cinque
chilometri che si snoderà dalla Stazione ferroviaria
di Santa Lucia alla Basilica della Salute
dove i partecipanti, distinti da un indumento rosa,
verranno accolti dalle 200 voci della Big Vocal Orchestra.

Tenth edition for this prestigious competition, a
true sailing Grand Prix of the city of Venice, reserved
for maxi-yachts.
About fifteen crews paired with as many representatives
of Veneto hoteliers will compete on
the waters of the lagoon.
The banks adjacent to the basin will be the meeting
point for enthusiasts and the public who wish
to follow the challenge.

Lagoon and St. Marks Basin, 15 October.
16th edition of this spectacular sailing regatta, as
an ideal Fete ending the sailing season. The circuit
will windalong from the opensea to the heart
of St. Mark's Basin, overlooked by the old and
new seats of the Compagnia della Vela, the prestigious
and ultra cenetenarian Venetian Club.
A meeting for all crews at the venue of San Giorgio
will act as a prologue to the regatta, on the
Saturday before the race.

• PINK MARCH
Departure from Santa Lucia Station Square, on
Sunday 15 October, at 10am.
Eighth edition for this charity walk in favour of
breast cancer prevention. The march will feature
a five-kilometre city route winding from the Santa
Lucia railway Station to the Salute Basilica,
where its participants, marked by a pink garment,
will be welcomed by the 200 voices of the Big Vocal
Orchestra. Registrations at shops in town.
