OCTOBER IN VENICE There are several reasons to recommend a visit to Venice, even more so if it falls in the month of October. First and foremost, the mild climate that heralds the winter season but also offers the pleasures that only a few cities can provide. But what to recommend?... Without a doubt, the simplest things. For example, getting intoxicated by a lagoon sunset or strolling until you get lost (only to find yourself again) along the labyrinth of alleys; crossing the Grand Canal by water aboard one of the last gondola ferries or being captivated by the multitude of shop windows and boutiques, or yet, enjoying an aperitif, a coffee, an ice cream, a dinner while savoring the city's small squares or climbing one of the many bell towers and being enchanted by a bird's-eye view.

prenotare tutti i giorni della settimana
dalle 10 alle 16.30, tranne
il martedì (giorno di chiusura).
Il costo della visita va aggiunto al
prezzo del biglietto di ingresso
al museo.
Su richiesta possono essere
concordati percorsi su misura
in base a esigenze specifiche o
visite private fuori dai consueti
orari di apertura.
The Collection offers guided tours
to discover the works from the permanent
collection, as well as the
Hannelore B. and Rudolph B. Schulhof
Collections and also from the
Nasher Sculpture Garden.
Guided tours can be booked every day
of the week from 10am to 4.30pm,
except Tuesday (closure day).
The cost of the visit must be added
to the price of the entrance ticket to
the museum.
On request, personalised tours or
private visits outside the usual opening
hours can be arranged according
to specific needs.

Dopo l’intervento di valorizzazione
l’Appartamento del Doge
torna a far parte del percorso
espositivo di Palazzo Ducale.
L’allestimento racconta la storia
dei 120 Dogi che hanno governato
la città con dipinti, sculture
e documenti che illustrano la figura
del Doge e la sua importanza
nella Repubblica di Venezia.
Il percorso si conclude con l’abdicazione
dell’ultimo Doge, Ludovico
Manin nel 1797, che segnò
la fine della Repubblica.
Per tutta l’estate Palazzo Ducale
sarà aperto fino alle 23.00
(ultimo ingresso ore 22.00) ogni
venerdì e sabato e lunedì 14 e
martedì 15 agosto.

Following enhancement work, the
Doge’s Apartment is returning as a
part of the Ducal Palace exhibition circuit.
The showcase recounts the history
of the 120 Doges who ruled the
city, with paintings, sculptures and
documents illustrating the Doge’s
figure and his importance within
the Republic of Venice. The itinerary
ends with the abdication of the last
Doge, Ludovico Manin in 1797, which
marked the end of the Republic.
Throughout the summer, the Ducal
Palace will be open until 11pm (last
admissions at 10pm) every Friday
and Saturday, and on Monday 14 and
Tuesday 15 August.
