OCTOBER IN VENICE There are several reasons to recommend a visit to Venice, even more so if it falls in the month of October. First and foremost, the mild climate that heralds the winter season but also offers the pleasures that only a few cities can provide. But what to recommend?... Without a doubt, the simplest things. For example, getting intoxicated by a lagoon sunset or strolling until you get lost (only to find yourself again) along the labyrinth of alleys; crossing the Grand Canal by water aboard one of the last gondola ferries or being captivated by the multitude of shop windows and boutiques, or yet, enjoying an aperitif, a coffee, an ice cream, a dinner while savoring the city's small squares or climbing one of the many bell towers and being enchanted by a bird's-eye view.

Sarà un'opera di Giuseppe Verdi
a chiudere la Stagione Lirica e
Balletto 2022-2023 al Teatro La
Fenice. Dopo 46 anni dall’ultima
rappresentazione "I due Foscari"
sarà messa in scena con la regia
di Grisha Asagaroff.
La tragedia lirica, ambientata
nella Venezia del 1457, narra la
tragica storia di Jacopo Foscari,
un patrizio veneziano condannato
all'esilio per omicidio e
successivamente per accuse
politiche.

“The two Foscari” by Giuseppe Verdi
is closing the 2022-2023 Opera and
Ballet Season at La Fenice Theatre.
After 46 years since its last
performance, it will be staged with
stage-direction by Grisha Asagaroff.
This operatic tragedy, set in Venice
in 1457, will be performed from 6 to
14 October, and the premiere will
be broadcast live on Rai Radio3. The
opera captures the tragic nuances of
Verdi’s genius.

The 67th International Festival of
Contemporary Music will be entirely
dedicated this year to digital sound,
its production and its diffusion in
acoustic space, aiming to enhance
the beauty and complexity of digital
sound and new composition
horizons. Artists from all over the
world will engage the audience with
unique sound creations, which will
be performed within the six different
festival sections.
