Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the
prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human
will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the
Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 1:20-21
The Holy Spirit in His infinite wisdom inspired all of scripture as the word of God.
Regardless of various translations and versions and omissions or additions, what we
have in the standard Bible today is exactly what the Holy Spirit intended we should
have to understand God, ourselves, salvation and how to live godly lives.
The word Bible means library of books. We have 66 books that teaches us spiritual and
practical truths. More importantly we have the ongoing daily fellowship with the Holy
Spirit that teaches us how to make sense of scripture. The Holy Spirit creates a desire in
us to read and know God's word. Make it a regular habit and practice to read the Bible
because it contains valuable guidance for every area of our lives.
Prayer:
Thank you Holy Spirit that you teach me to love God's word.
