Small group sizes
We like to keep our groups compact and
manageable, with an average group size of 14
and a maximum of 18 on the majority of tours.

Solo-friendly travel
Our Solo Travellers group tours allow you to
explore free of single supplements alongside
other solo travellers, and with the guidance of
an experienced tour manager.
Local tour managers
We employ local tour managers for their
in-depth knowledge of the places, people
and culture of your destination, which in turn
supports the local community.

Signature Experiences
Each tour includes a number of exceptional
experiences, revealing hidden wonders and
cultural secrets. We specialise in taking travellers,
in comfort, to places off the beaten track and
outside the realms of many other operators.

We take great care in our selection of
accommodation. Typically, we feature welllocated
4- and 5-star hotels.
Balanced pace
Opportunities to relax or explore independently
are built into most tours. However, unlike
other operators we will always include what we
believe are the must-see highlights in the cost
of your tour.
Tailored to you
We are delighted to organise pre- or post-tour
extensions, as well as room and flight upgrades.
Flight flexibility
International economy flights are included
as standard, with the option to choose an
alternative airline (where available), add
regional flights, or join the tour on a
land-only basis.
Tour categories
Our tours fall into one of five comfort
categories, as described below:
Luxury: These are our most comfortable
tours and will usually feature 5-star deluxe
accommodation throughout.
Superior: Most Cox & Kings tours fall under
this category and are based in 4- or 5-star
accommodation where available, or the best
alternative elsewhere.
Standard: Simpler in emphasis, these
itineraries typically feature 4-star or good
3-star accommodation throughout, or the
best alternative elsewhere.
Discovery: Best suited to the hardier traveller,
these tours typically include some quite basic
accommodation, possibly longer and rougher
road journeys and, in some cases, more
strenuous activities.
Specialist-led: Curated and helmed by
specialists in their field, these itineraries are
especially suited to lovers of history, art,
and culture. They often include private visits
unavailable to the wider public, and are based
in 3-, 4- and 5-star accommodation.
