LITACorp Attends First LMA Annual Conference
At the LMA’s 86 th Annual Convention
in Alexandria, Executive Director Leslie
Durham and Senior Advisor Alex Holland
of the Louisiana Infrastructure Technical
Assistance Corporation (LITACorp) unveiled
the organization’s Technical Assistance
Thornton, Program Musso, to a crowded &Bellemin room of
mayors, aldermen, and government staff
eager to learn more about how they can
work with LITACorp to tap into federal resources.

LITACorp, a nonprofit organization, was
established in October 2022 as a collaborative
partnership between the LMA and
the Police Jury Association of Louisiana
(PJAL) to advance three key goals:
1. Equip Index Listings political subdivisions located
in rural and economically distressed

areas with the tools and resources
they need to identify, apply for, and
administer federal grants funded
through the Infrastructure Investment
and Jobs Act (IIJA).
2. Minimize barriers for political subdivisions
to access federal resources
by assisting them with meeting local
cost share requirements of federal
grant programs funded through IIJA.
3. Acquire federal grant funds through
IIJA to construct, improve,
or repair public infrastructure,
ie. water and sewer
systems, roads, bridges,
railways, ports, broadband,
etc. in rural and
economically distressed
communities throughout
Louisiana.
Ultimately, LITACorp’s mission
is to advance the economic
prosperity of Louisiana
communities.
LITACorp’s Board of Directors
consists of local elected officials
who can speak to the challenges
Louisiana communities
face when addressing their
public infrastructure, which
directly informs the development
and implementation of
LITACorp’s programs.

Program provides various services
at no cost to Louisiana
