HISTORY 

BRUNOX® products have been around for 40 

years now and the BRUNOX® company history is 

characterised by the continuous development & 

research work performed by the founder of ENVIRO- 

CHEMIE AG CH-8733 Eschenbach SG. Besides his 

construction company for sewage treatment plants, 

he also ran a chemical products department, which 

was always his secret favourite. 

1976: The BRUNOX® Rust Converter Emulsion was 

developed and launched on the market. This product 

was of good quality, but did not satisfy all aspects, 

so has continually evolved. 

1985: The breakthrough came when Bruno 

Lieberherr (BSc), managing director and owner 

of ENVIRO-CHEMIE AG, presented a stunning 

innovation, his initial Europe-patented product, the 

first rust stopper and primer in one from a handy 

spray can. This was launched with the brand name 

BRUNOX® epoxy®. 

1994: A public limited company was founded 

specifically for BRUNOX® products, namely BRUNOX 

AG with headquarters in CH-8733 Eschenbach SG. 

1995: The product range was expanded with the 

addition of the preventive corrosion protection 

range, which includes the BRUNOX® Turbo-Spray®, 

BRUNOX® LUB & COR® and BRUNOX® IX-100 

brands. 

1996: BRUNOX® Korrosionsschutz GmbH was 

founded in 85001 Ingolstadt, Germany. 

1999: BRUNOX® Lubri-Food® joined the product 

portfolio. 

Further products for the bicycle and weapons 

industry were introduced over the years, right up to 

the present day. 

Thanks to their impressive quality, BRUNOX® 

products have become firmly established at a large 

number of companies over the years. 

Today, BRUNOX® products are exported to and 

marketed in over 50 countries.

BRUNOX® epoxy® 

Patented rust converter and primer 

in one. Neutralises rust. 

BRUNOX® epoxy®forms an organometallic 

iron complex with iron and 

rust. This results in a black, extremely 

compact and durable protective layer that provides 

long-term corrosion protection, while also acting as a 

fully-fledged primer, thanks to the addition of epoxy 

resin. 

Benefits 

• No need to wash off 

• Excellent levelling, leaving no brush marks 

• Free of heavy metals and mineral acids 

• Broadly compatible with most commercially 

available top systems 

• Can also be applied in undiluted form using airless 

or compressed air guns of any kind 

• Penetrates approx. ten times deeper into the rust 

pores than conventional rust converter emulsion

BRUNOX® IX 100 

Corrosion protection & wax-based 

sealing that is 100 % compatible 

with BRUNOX® epoxy®. It is ideal 

as underbody protection, hollowspace 

sealing or preservation. 

BRUNOX® IX 100 forms a compact waxy protective 

film that does not become brittle and persistently 

withstands most environmental impacts. The perfect 

high-quality seal provides protection even when 

directly exposed to the weather, including against 

flue gas and salt water.

Together with TURBOLINE, BRUNOX® 

Turbo-Spray® forms a 1 - 2 µm transparent, 

non-curing corrosion protection and lubricant 

film that displaces moisture and remedies surface 

leakage. It loosens seized-up connectors, removes any 

organic/mineral contaminants, cleans oxidised contacts 

and dissolves tar, adhesive residue, etc., without
