dai documenti la costruzione più antica presente in laguna. Sopravvive

ancor oggi come luogo di culto e splendido esempio

di architettura in stile veneto-bizantino.

Once the cathedral of the suppressed diocese of Torcello, documents show

it is the most ancient building present in the lagoon. It still survives today

as a place of worship and a splendid example of Veneto-Byzantine style architecture.
