The starting point for this configuration is a WebSphere Application Server that has been configured by the SAS Deployment Wizard. The wizard configures WebSphere Application Server to provide the resources needed by the SAS Web applications such as mail, JDBC, and JMS. The wizard can also deploy the SAS Web applications to a server instance. The following list identifies the high-level steps for deploying the SAS Web applications on a WebSphere Application Server cluster: 1 Review the limitations in “SAS Middle-Tier Limitations” on page 2 and perform the pre-configuration tasks in “Common Pre-Configuration Tasks” on page 5. 2 Create a server template from the application server that was configured by the wizard. 3 Create a cluster and populate it with servers created with the server template. 4 Configure JVM options for the clustered servers and the stand-alone server. 5 Deploy the SAS Web applications to the cluster. 43
