Beyonders - 18 Unit Project-Edmundston NB Canada

The lack of housing is a major issue in Edmundston. According to projections, more than a thousand homes will be missing by 2025 and more than two thousand within 20 years. Most of the housing needed is one-bedroom units, and there is currently a shortage of over 600 people looking for affordable housing in the area. This precarious situation is a source of concern for citizens and local authorities, who are looking for solutions to overcome this problem. In this context, our project to build apartment blocks is intended as a concrete and effective response to help fill the housing deficit in the city of Edmundston. https://youtu.be/x0mLhDwDAAk https://youtu.be/pFwkKjjCEBA

INtroduction
The lack of housing is a major issue in Edmundston.
According to projections, more than a thousand
homes will be missing by 2025 and more than two
thousand within 20 years. Most of the housing needed
is one-bedroom units, and there is currently a
shortage of over 600 people looking for affordable
housing in the area. This precarious situation is a
source of concern for citizens and local authorities,
who are looking for solutions to overcome this
problem. In this context, our project to build
apartment blocks is intended as a concrete and
effective response to help fill the housing deficit in the
city of Edmundston.

The Site
The location of a building is a crucial factor to consider when
constructing an apartment block. In this case, the 392 Victoria Street
address is a strategic location for several reasons. First of all, this
street is in the immediate vicinity of grocery stores, which facilitates
access to food and basic necessities for tenants. In addition, this
address is also close to schools, which is convenient for families with
children. Finally, downtown Edmundston is also accessible on foot or
by car from this address, which offers tenants easy access to
businesses and services in the city. In sum, the Victoria Street location
is ideal for building an apartment block, as it provides tenants with
easy access to all of the city's amenities.

Benefits for the
city and residents
Our apartment block project offers many advantages for the city of
Edmundston and its residents. Firstly, by offering affordable housing, we are
helping to meet the growing demand for moderately priced housing, thus
offering a sustainable solution for people on modest incomes. In addition,
the social mix favoured by the combination of 1 and 3 bedroom units will
create a balanced and diversified living environment for residents. In
addressing the environmental impact, our unwavering commitment to
pioneering advancements in sustainable materials, indoor air quality, and
surpassing conventional building performance, coupled with energyefficient
construction techniques, will not only substantially reduce the
project's ecological footprint but also establish an unprecedented milestone
in the sphere of sustainability, consequently raising the bar for prevailing
standards. Finally, our project will help improve Edmundston's
attractiveness by offering new quality housing options for citizens and
newcomers, thus contributing to the harmonious development of the city.

Future Plans
The building is part of a broader vision of urban
development for the Beyonders team. It is part of a series of
projects planned to meet growing housing needs and
improve the quality of life of citizens. By working closely
with local authorities and other stakeholders, we work to
create a harmonious and sustainable urban environment
that values social diversity, inclusion and community
cohesion. Our project also serves as a catalyst to encourage
other similar developments in the city, showing the
effectiveness and positive impact of affordable and quality
housing on the well-being of residents and the prosperity of
the city. Ultimately, we hope that our initiative will inspire
other real estate projects and contribute to the gradual
transformation of cities into a dynamic, inclusive and
welcoming place for all.
