Highlighting a few of the many ministries of
<strong>Focus</strong> on the Family Canada
ONE OF THE UNIQUE offerings of <strong>Focus</strong> on the
Family Canada are our retreat programs for couples and
ministry leaders held at our retreat centres.
In 2017, <strong>Focus</strong> on the Family Canada brought the highly
successful Hope Restored marriage intensive program to
Canada and since then more than 900 couples in crisis have
been helped. <strong>Focus</strong> on the Family Canada has also been
operating Kerith Ministry Leader Retreats for pastors, missionaries
and para church leaders since 2008 with more
than 1,600 individuals and couples in ministry attending to
receive rest and renewal both personally and in their calling.
Kerith Creek in Alberta, our first retreat centre, opened
in 2008. Kerith Pines in Manitoba opened in 2014. And this
year we opened Kerith Waters in Ontario!
Kerith Retreats
Working in ministry has many blessings, but an abundance
of financial resources is typically not one of them. Many
people who serve in ministry, as missionaries or in para
church organizations are not able to afford a luxury retreat.
The Kerith Ministry Leader Retreats provide them a unique
opportunity to step away from the demands of life and find
true rest in God’s presence. This program is currently held
at our centres in Alberta and Manitoba, with plans to begin
offering it in Ontario in fall 2023.

We offer three retreat programs at our Kerith centres:
Hope Restored
Hope Restored is a marriage counselling retreat program
and is designed to serve couples in crisis. All marriage
therapists are trained in the uniquely holistic counselling
approach that combines a couple’s hearts, minds, and faith
in order to address the root of the problem and start couples
on a path toward healing. This program is currently held at
all three retreat centres in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario.

Marriage Enrichment Retreats
There are many couples who are looking for ways to improve
their relationship with their spouse. Marriage Enrichment
Retreats are created for couples who are looking to take one
weekend away to make a strong marriage even stronger.
Based on the proven, biblically based principles of the Hope
Restored marriage intensive program, these retreats equip
couples with practical tools to create a more vibrant, intimate
and loving marriage. This program is currently held
at our centres in Alberta and Manitoba, with plans to begin
offering it in Ontario in fall 2023.
