Rolled skills 1 (BU2, BU5, BU10, BU12)<br />

If any of these items are missing we will not be able to complete the <strong>assessment</strong>.<br />
Scope<br />
The candidate will be asked to clean 1 toilet, 1 urinal (where available), 1 hand wash basin,<br />
fixtures and fittings, and surrounding area including a mirror, emptying and cleaning at<br />
least 1 general waste bin and mop a pre-swept area of floor.<br />

• Demonstrate an understanding of the<br />

• Control of Substances Hazardous to<br />
Health (COSHH) <strong>assessment</strong> and Safety<br />
Data Sheets (SDS)<br />
• Task Risk Assessment (RA)<br />
• Method Statement (MS) or Standard<br />
Operating Procedure (SOP)<br />
Equipment required <strong>for</strong> <strong>assessment</strong><br />
• Warning signs<br />
• Appropriate personal protective<br />
equipment (PPE), as specified by COSHH<br />
<strong>assessment</strong> and/or task risk <strong>assessment</strong><br />
• A single bucket floor mopping system –<br />
A microfibre system can be used in place<br />
of a chemical solution, this should be<br />
noted on the <strong>assessment</strong>.<br />
• Cleaning agents (if appropriate)<br />
• Measuring apparatus (if appropriate)<br />
• Non-abrasive pads or scraper<br />
• Colour-coded cloths<br />
• Colour-coded hand bucket<br />
• Colour-coded appropriately labelled<br />
