centre boasts:
• 25-metre heated open air swimming pool
• A fully equipped gym with natural light
• Two floodlit tennis courts – one a multicourt for
basketball, netball or five-a-side football
• Spinning, aqua aerobics and outdoor fitness classes
• Swimming lessons - single & group available
• Inflatable sessions & pool hire – May to September
• Fully trained NPLQ lifeguards and courses

There’s been a community pool here for 112 years a
popular destination of choice for those eager to
experience outdoor swimming and the health and social
benefits it can bring, whether this be general, family or
lane swimming. Heated to around 27°C all year round,
the water from an artesian well is kept healthy through a
NASA-developed ionisation process which is low in

Earlier this year,
the 25-metre swimming pool underwent major pool
ground works, along with a new pool liner and boilers,
all funded by Chesham Town Council.
The gym is bright and clean, with all abilities and ages
(from 12 years) welcome. Each session lasts for 1 hour 45
minutes and fully qualified gym instructors are always
available, personal trainers on request.

The centre has full disabled access to all areas, with close
proximity parking. There is also a pool viewing room
offering hot drinks, and a vending machine for use by
both members and the general public.
Socially, Bacon Butty Mornings are held on the last
Friday of the month from 6.30am to 9.30am all year
round, and a midsummer Midnight Swim.
The centre aims to be as environmentally friendly as
possible, rooftop solar panels feeding power back into
the grid and saving an estimated four tonnes of CO²
every year. It is also surrounded by beautiful gardens
and wildflower areas all maintained by valued volunteers
and staff.
With no joining fee and the choice of pay as you go,
monthly or yearly memberships, choose the best option
to suit you. Special rates are available for those over 65
years and juniors aged up to 18 years. Our easy to use
online booking system helps you plan and manage your
sessions.
The centre is open from 6am-9pm Monday-Thursday,
6am–8pm Friday and 8am–6pm weekends. Also open
Bank Holidays 8am-6pm.
