Summer seems to have arrived and I imagine it’s peak season for companies that are involved in the awnings and solar shading markets. There seems to a lot of choices out there and it will be interesting to see how the home improvement market copes with the increasing of interest rates over the last few months. Lots of fixed mortgage rates are coming to an end, from historically low levels, so it way create another shock to consumers. So fingers crossed that it’s not as bad as some economists would have us believe and hopefully the rest of the summer will be long and hot!

Somfy has launched magnetic charging options<br />
for its V2 Li-ion Embedded Motors and Li-ion<br />
External Battery Pack.<br />
The new accessories include an adaptor cable for<br />
use with the traditional V2 Li-ion motors and<br />
external Li-ion battery pack. A rigid extension cable<br />
with magnetic contact makes it easier to connect<br />
the V2 charger to the motor or battery, depending<br />
on the installed product. The added level of<br />
convenience can reduce regular wear and tear on<br />
the charging port by making it easier to connect the<br />
charging cable magnetically.<br />

magnetic connection every time.<br />

The magnetic charger is compatible with current<br />
V2 RTS motors as well as those powered by<br />
Zigbee as recently announced by Somfy at the<br />
International Window Coverings Expo.<br />
