Caxton Hotel – one of Brisbane’s most beloved
pubs situated just a short walk away from Suncorp
Stadium and so closely tied to Queensland’s fierce
love of sport.
The family owned and operated hotel has firmly
established itself as state icon, and has been a
landmark watering hole for many sports teams
and their fans for over a century. Drawing upon the
original, exposed brick features of the building, the
hotel is a warm and inviting place, with plenty of
iconic Queensland sporting memorabilia lining the
walls and adding to its charm.
Hotel Administrator at The Caxton, Kath Potter,
said they would like to think it’s their family
hospitality that makes them stand out from the
rest, but in reality, it’s also their passionate sporting
association with Suncorp Stadium.
