Italy and Europe. Travel from Rome to European destinations is easy and accessible, and the Student Life team at AUR organizes
regular cultural excursions throughout Italy & beyond. The knowledge and skills that students gain during these explorations enhances
their education with understanding, empathy, and perspective.

SPORTING & SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
The Student Life team at AUR organize and lead frequent social and
cultural activities for all AUR students. This can range from a coookery
class on campus to a weekend exploring Naples, Capri, Sorrento, and
Pompeii.
AUR also has a diverse range of sports & athletics, clubs, and
associations. Clubs may be faculty-led and directly enhance the
students’ studies, Or student-led and focused on the cultural and
social aspects of university life. All are dynamic, fully inclusive, and
fun.

It is no exaggeration to say that my semester in Rome may have been the most impactful single
period of my life so far. Living inside a new culture, learning a new language (badly, in my
case!), studying with students from so many different parts of the world - these experiences have
fundementally altered my outlook on life and on myself.
Extraordinary then, that perhaps my most memorable moment (pictured here) was a weekend
photography field trip to Lisbon! Don’t get me wrong, I still love Rome above all others!
But, this weekend with my clasmates and soulmates was such a wonderful finalé to my time at AUR.

YOUR HOME IN ROME
AUR STUDENT ACCOMMODATION
All visiting students have the option of living in university-owned apartments shared
with fellow students. Located in neighborhoods near the university and close to the city
center, our apartments offer the perfect blend of convenience and cultural immersion.
Unlike isolated dormitories, our apartments provide an authentic taste of Italian life and
a chance to integrate into a welcoming community. Rome is renowned for its diversity,
and each neighborhood boasts its own unique atmosphere, complete with characteristic
cafes, shops, bars, and restaurants. They are also picturesque, with bright, wide streets
and large parks close by.
Our apartments can comfortably accommodate between 4 and 9 students, with double
or triple bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living area. They come fully furnished,
and we provide all the necessary kitchen equipment, bedding, and towels. While each
apartment may vary in terms of location, style, and size, they all share the common
qualities of being bright, comfortable, and well-connected to both AUR and the heart of
Rome.
The majority of our student accommodation is situated in the medieval Trastevere
district, just a short walk from the university campus. Trastevere is renowned for its
vibrant and bohemian ambiance, offering a fantastic social and cultural scene. You’ll
have the chance to explore traditional and innovative trattorias, browse artisan shops,
and soak in the lively atmosphere of buzzing piazzas such as Piazza di San Calisto,
Piazza Santa Maria, and Piazza di San Cosimato.
