STUDYING ABROAD IN ROME
Studying abroad at The American University of Rome offers a transformative
experience that enriches students’ lives and educational journeys. Immersed in
confidence, cultivate a global network of friends and contacts, and create memories
One of the distinguishing features of our university is its intimate size, which
allows for close faculty mentorships and a personalized learning environment.
With comprehensive student services, we ensure that students receive dedicated
academic support and guidance throughout their time at AUR.
What really sets The American University of Rome apart, however, is its culturally
diverse campus with students representing over 50 nationalities. The dynamic mix of
backgrounds and perspectives provides students with a truly international experience,
fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.
At AUR, we live up to our founder’s vision by integrating the Eternal City into our
educational approach, using Rome and its famous sites, museums and institutions
as an extension of the classroom. To gain a truly authentic experience, students live
in apartments nestled within the local neighborhoods, truly immersing themselves
into the daily life of this extraordinary city.
“Rome
is our classroom
Europe
is our laboratory
The World
is our potential
OUR TIME IS NOW

“
It is no exaggeration to say that my semester in Rome may have been the most impactful single
period of my life so far. Living inside a new culture, learning a new language (badly, in my
case!), studying with students from so many different parts of the world - these experiences have
fundementally altered my outlook on life and on myself.
Extraordinary then, that perhaps my most memorable moment (pictured here) was a weekend
photography field trip to Lisbon! Don’t get me wrong, I still love Rome above all others!
But, this weekend with my clasmates and soulmates was such a wonderful finalé to my time at AUR.
