I chose this topic because I want to learn more about the medical plants in Pakistan because I’m from there and nowadays there are problems where people are getting injured and they don’t know what plants to use and they can’t afford treatment, so they can’t heal and with this, they’ll know how to use medicinal plants to heal themselves. This will help people who are at war so that they can heal themselves and their families because up to 4 billion people rely on herbal medicine so they need to know which ones to use and what it’s used for. Also, medical plants are more healthy than manufactured drugs because they don’t have many side effects. Medical plants are also better for the environment because they don’t have the poisonous and deadly toxicants of synthetic drugs which can’t be reused or used for anything else, so they have to get thrown out and then start to pollute the environment. Also, eating medical herbs can help prevent you from having heart diseases and lower cholesterol levels, like garlic, linseed, fenugreek and lemongrass. 50% of all the people in Pakistan can’t get proper health care, because of poverty, and 42% of them don’t have health insurance so they can barely afford treatment sometimes if money is even a bit low they don’t go to the hospital because it might put them in debt and because of overpopulation the drinking water can be dirty and unsanitary, there is also very low health awareness.
