Inaugural Oakhaven
10 a success!
In November we held our very
first Oakhaven 10. It was a
triumph with over 200 runners
signing up for the 10 mile trail
run held in the New Forest near
Brockenhurst. The sun shone on
the day and runners came from
far and wide.
Once again, a huge vote of
thanks to our sponsors Caldwells
Estate Agents & Alexandra Sports,
as well as the runners who raised
vital funds and the volunteers
who kindly gave up their Sunday
morning.
We are hoping to expand on
Oakhaven 10, Save the Date 19th
November 2023.
Thank you – Holly
Jolly Christmas Fayre
This year we held our first
independently run Holly Jolly
Christmas Fayre in the Coates
Centre at Oakhaven Hospice.
This could not have happened
without all the kind donations we
received and our volunteers who
helped plan, set up and run the
event. We were inundated with
support and cannot thank the
local community enough.
It was a wonderful festive
weekend, which raised an
impressive amount for the
hospice.
With lots of ideas in the
making for 2023 we cannot wait
for this year’s Fayre.
Santa Dash
Our annual Santa Dash was a
roaring success with over 800
Santa’s and festive friends
running through the streets of
Lymington. It was a particularly
cold day but that didn’t dampen
the spirits of the participants who
walked, scooted, jogged, and ran
our 3km course.
Thank you so much to our
sponsors John D Woods and
all those that volunteered,
marshalled, and generally
supported this event. We could
not do it without you. Also, a
HUGE thank you to all those that
participated and raised additional
sponsorship funds. We hope you
had fun!
Light up a Life
Wherever you are, whomever
you have lost and whenever it
was, we invited everyone to join
us for our Light up a Life Service
of Dedication to cherish the
memories of loved ones at either
St Thomas’ Church in Lymington
and St Johns in Hythe.
It seemed to be a particularly
cold couple of days, so thank you
to all that braved the conditions
to attend and help make the
church services such special and
memorable occasions.
Thank you so much to our
sponsors, Tappers Funeral
Services and all contributors to
Light up a Life. Without you it
simply would not be possible.
