Welcome to Almyra Beach Villas AMMOS & LITHOS on Antiparos!<br />

We wish you a relaxing and pleasant stay!<br />

In the most natural environment , next to the crystal clear waters<br />

of Antiparos, we would like to offer you the comforts of being<br />

both at home and at a hotel where we take care of your stay.<br />

ANESTIS is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the<br />

swimming pool and the garden. You can call him in case you<br />

need some help concerning the house in general.<br />

The house keeper takes care of the daily cleaning of the villas and<br />

changes of linen twice a week.<br />

In the following pages you can find useful information on arrival,<br />

house rules, information about the villas and the pool along<br />

with information for your stay on the island.<br />

HOUSE RULES<br />

1. Check-in time: after 4 p.m./Check-out time: before 10 a.m.<br />

2. NO smoking inside or illegal drug use anywhere.<br />

3. NO pets allowed.<br />

4. NO parties or events - Only the number of guests indicated on the<br />

reservation can stay unless pre-approved and at extra charge.<br />

5. Doors and windows must be closed while using A/C.<br />

6. Please do not throw anything, including toilet paper in the toilets.<br />

7. Do not leave food/drink out as they will attract ants and cats.<br />

8. When leaving the property, please check that doors and<br />

windows are closed.<br />

9. No outside fires or BBQ when winds are over 15mph.<br />

10. Do not move any furniture from its location. There will be additional<br />

charge for any misplaced furniture or other house items.<br />

11. If anything was damaged, broken or stained during your stay,<br />

please let us know prior to checking out.<br />

12. The Owner/Host assumes no liability for any accidents, injuries or<br />

illness that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The Owner/Host<br />

is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or<br />

valuable of the guests.


INFORMATION ABOUT THE HOUSE<br />

UPON ARRIVAL<br />

On your arrival we will be present to welcome you and to show you the villas .<br />

Villa AMMOS is the villa on the right after the arch and Villa LITHOS is on the left .<br />

WATER<br />

The water in the house comes from a tank and is rain water therefore it is limited and should be<br />

used reasonably. It is suitable for personal hygiene but it is NOT DRINKABLE. Use ONLY BOTTLED<br />

WATER for drinking and cooking.<br />

PLEASE MAKE REASONABLE USE OF THE WATER AND DON’T LEAVE THE TAPS RUNNING.<br />

KEYS<br />

We will hand you two sets of keys for each villa with three keys, one for each door.<br />

The doors can open from outside only with a key (there are NO handles).<br />

Always keep the keys on the outside of the door during the day in case the wind blows the door shut.<br />

KITCHEN<br />

Each house has a gas cooker and an electric oven, a refrigerator, dishwasher, and other electric<br />

appliances. In case the gas bottle runs dry, you can easily switch to the one next to it, which is<br />

full. The gas bottles are outside, just behind the kitchen. In case there is a gas leak you will hear<br />

an alarm and supply automatically shuts off.<br />

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS<br />

can be found conveniently placed in the kitchen.<br />

BATHROOMS<br />

The water in the bathrooms comes from the same water tank and it is very good for the skin and<br />

hair. The hot water is heated by solar panels but in cloudy weather you can switch to electric.<br />

On the main electric board the switch marked HOT WATER can be switched for 15 minutes.<br />

You should then turn it off and take your shower afterwards.<br />

Important! Please DO NOT THROW ANY PAPER in the toilets, or the whole system may be clogged.<br />

BEDROOMS<br />

In the bedrooms you have anatomical latex mattresses with 100% cotton sheets and towels, as<br />

well as towel robes and towels for the swimming pool. Bed sheets are changed twice a week.<br />

Towels are changed twice a week too unless it is necessary to change earlier as we try to save<br />

the water in general on the island. The windows have screen roller blinds to keep out mosquitos,<br />

flies and other insects.<br />

AIR CONDITIONING<br />

There are air conditionings in each room. ALL can be operated from the same remote control unit.


FIRST AID KIT<br />

There is one first aid kit containing some medicines for minor accidents, aspirins and cold remedies.<br />

Keep the box out of the reach of children. If necessary, consult the doctor of the medical<br />

center of Antiparos or go to the local pharmacy.<br />

MUSIC<br />

In the back yard there is an amplifier with a stick for music and speakers in all outside areas.<br />

HOME CINEMA<br />

In the back yard there is a projector and a white screen for DVD player, with surround-sound<br />

speakers.<br />

CANOES<br />

You can also use the canoes but always be mindful of the wind. Be sure you can come back to the<br />

shore and avoid using it when there is too much wind blowing. After coming back canoes shall be<br />

put back to their original position. We also remind you that the beach, like every beach in<br />

Greece, is private. The use of canoes is at the risk and responsibility of the guests. Any loss and<br />

damages that may occur will be covered by the deposit.


SAFETY RULES FOR THE SWIMMING POOL<br />

The pool is maintained on a regular basis by Anestis<br />

SWIMMING POOLS CAN BE DANGEROUS , BUT IF YOU FOLLOW A FEW SIMPLE RULES, YOU CAN<br />

THOROUGHLY ENJOY RELAXING AT THE POOL SIDE .<br />

1. The pool depth varies from approx. 1m. at the shallow end, to 1,6 after the stairs, 2,4 m.in the<br />

center and 2,2 m.at the other end . If you are not very confident swimmer, make sure there is always<br />

someone with you and DO NOT swim out of your depth. The pool is not suitable for diving.<br />

2. Take care around the pool edge. The surfaces can become slippery. If you notice anything that<br />

is potentially dangerous , please bring to Anestis attention ,e.g. blocked drainage channels,<br />

loose paving etc.<br />

3. DO NOT swim if the water becomes unclear and you cannot see the bottom.<br />

4. Please give your children some simple instructions before they use the pool and always supervise<br />

them, especially when is a small group. A little too much excitement can lead to absent-mindeness!<br />

There is a special net provided and it can be easily put around the pool to avoid access<br />

to the children.<br />

5. NEVER swim after eating a large meal. Let your meal settle for at least 2 hours before swimming<br />

and never swim after drinking alcohol.<br />

6. The pool is floodlit during the evening and very exciting for a swim. Once the light has gone<br />

out please DO NOT use the pool as it could be disorientating and dangerous.<br />

7. Only swim with your ability. The sun can be very hot and the water could feel cold in comparison<br />

and be quite a shock to your body. Take extra care if you suffer from epilepsy, asthma, heart<br />

disorders , diabetes or any other medical condition. If you do not feel well DO NOT swim.<br />

8. Please do not take glasses at the poolside. Instead you can use plastic which are provided to<br />

use at the poolside.<br />

9. In visible places around the pool there is life-saving equipment such as lifesaving hook and life<br />

buoys.<br />

10. In order to maintain the water of the pool clean please a quick shower before your swim and<br />

DO NOT USE sun oil and sun body lotions.<br />

11. PLEASE REMEMBER NOT TO WASTE WATER AT THE SHOWER.<br />

12. As you come back from the beach you are kindly requested to RINSE your feet from the sand<br />

at the water tap located at the small door under the tree and remember to close it well.<br />

13. PLEASE KEEP THE UMBRELLA CLOSED WHEN IT IS BLOWING HARD AND ALSO DURING THE<br />

NIGHT.
