I can agree that it’s pretty unique and interesting for
people to trade and buy stuff there at the moment.
no, it’s not.
Another incredible week in the Solana Art Community! Join me for an incomplete review of this past week’s
news.
The volume of Art sales dropped by over 30% from last weeks high, nevertheless it remains healthy with the top
20 creators on Exchange Art netting $64K USD. Sales continue to trickle in across other markets, including Code
Canvas and Foster Marketplace.
Diving into the split across categories (notwithstanding the duplication of data due to artwork having multiple
tags) PFPs remain the top selling NFT in the art world. Interestingly AI and Mixed Media have been replaced by
Photography and Derivative Art in the top 10 this week.
Nine of the top 20 creators for the week are fine arts protagonists, underlying the value collectors see in this
form of art.
Mural and abstract artist Wetiko enjoyed primary sales of both Lover 24 and 25 acquired by ShmokeyRekt.
10 SHILL Issue #111

Lover 25 by Wetiko
Luciana Guerra had a fabulous week selling an incredible body of work, The Last Judgement to well known art patron
Compound. This series includes four pieces of art, based on The original Bosch triptych, by Hieronymus Bosch, oil on
wood, c 1482. The Last Judgement deconstruction, The Last Judgement Left Panel, The Last Judgement Central Panel,
The Last Judgement Right Panel.

In an extravaganza of dance, music and art BU___UB in collaboration with Celestial Body sold all 26 Editions of her latest
work, Between lost chances and fate.
Abstract generative artist Rez_inProgress had another stellar week with four pieces of work across three series selling to
three unique collectors. In addition to this, his collaboration with Italian abstract artist Sara Di Lella sold before it hit the
market. 0xKirk, founder of the Traphouse Gallery snapped up the piece, Paralysis (Lucid Dreams). “A moment pulses,
vibrant, alive, A call to embrace the unpredictability of the river’s flow.
There’s a rhythm in randomness, a melody in chaos,
The beauty of uncertainty, the embrace of the unknown.”
Paralysis (Lucid Dreams) by Rez_inProgress x Sara Di Lella
Another abstract series proving popular with collectors is AIstract by Wilsen Way. Three pieces from this series were
collected on the primary market this week, On the Horizon was acquired by well known collector The H, Tangled was
picked up by fellow artist JulesL, and Field of Dreams entered the vault of the most discerning collector, Pays To Be
Picky.

The top primary sale of the week was for Hot Heads #068 for 303 Sol, closely followed by Slater (275 Sol) by PENCILX’s
Rule Breaker Series and The Barrows, Miles “the Scribe” Barnaby for 214 Sol. Secondary sales for quality artwork proved
strong with pieces by leading artists Sleepr, Mical Noelson and Tony Wallstrom all exchanging hands.

In other Art News high profile Solana Artist and founder of the Studio 7 Collection, Wayne Nooten
grabbed the headlines with his unique Raffle Experiment. Like or loathe the concept, it has certainly captured the attention
of many, shining a spotlight on the Art Community and stirring a robust conversation about the value of an artwork.
The collection of five Bluechip artworks by art legends John Le, Sleepr, Peanug, Rupture and Mical Noelson was raffled
in a ‘winner take all’ package, with tickets costing 0.69 Sol. Disappointingly the community failed to swing in behind this
effort to raise money in support of ongoing art initiatives, with only one tenth of a possible 10K tickets sold. The eventual
winner of the raffle, with a single ticket purchase was Kendrar7.
CODA Exhibition unveiled it’s 7th Curated Collection, thanks to the efforts of JeromeNFT and a panel of guest curators
including Devplex and Subterra. Over 100 submissions were culled to the final 60 and these were exhibited in the
metaverse art gallery at Spatial.io The exhibition featured pieces from artists cenonym, Laurence Antony, Zen0, Hyblinxx,
Macy, Bu, as well as those less well known creators, hersoid, Hey_Im_B, Dave T, and rogerin.

CircusDAO is attracting membership from across the ecosystem, with mega personalities from SolCityRadio
joining the turkeys this past week. Aychhe, Shmokey McRekt, and Brickastly joined Artists Britt Hoffman and
Designz, as well as builder MDStevens, in the growing Circus, a tribute to the building of Foster Marketplace behind the
scenes.
Other artists who are making waves this week include Afficus who had a whopping 8 sales of 1/1 abstract artwork, Bilnd
who sold 4 works from his series Burnt, RLORENZ who continues to smash out sales with 3 for the week, and Cultural
Hacker glitched his way to two sales.

Introduction
Many believe it is an exciting time for crypto, as the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides clarity over challenges
that can theoretically be solved with blockchain technology. In addition, deglobalization is happening in
real-time due to the rising hostility between the biggest superpowers in the world. This leads to several logistical
and technological challenges which may drastically change the supply chain. Today we will talk about Render
(RNDR), its partial transition to Solana and how it is building a case for changing the world of rendering.
What is Render
RNDR is a blockchain-based project developed by OTOY that aims to transform cloud rendering and distributed
computing, through the creation of a decentralized network of rendering nodes.
Artists and developers can leverage this network to accelerate their rendering processes. The RNDR token is
Render’s native cryptocurrency, facilitating transactions and incentivizing users to contribute their computational
power. By decentralizing rendering, RNDR aims to make it more accessible, cost-effective, and efficient for industries
like film production, gaming, and architecture.
OctaneX
On December 27, OTOY launched OctaneX, essentially the smartphone version of OctaneRender, available as a
free download for M1 and M2 iPads. The Apple Store Preview describes OctaneX as enabling “real-time, photo-realistic
3D rendering. Fast.” The app was also featured in one of Apple’s YouTube videos.
OctaneX provides users access to Render Network’s decentralized grid of GPU processing units, allowing thousands
of digital creators to tap into the Render Network for their graphic processing needs. With the potential to
reach millions of users once OctaneX becomes available on iPhones, the adoption of Render could grow significantly
as more developers, designers, and architects utilize the software for gaming, film, and other productions.
Integration of Render Network
The integration of Render Network, developed by Jules Urbach, the founder of OTOY, with Apple and its compatibility
with OctaneX, has recently caught the eyes of many investors, traders, and speculators. In addition, Render
Network’s expansion into the Solana blockchain has further contributed to the significant surge in the token price
(RNDR), making headlines in the process.
SHILL Issue #111
19

Render Moves to Solana
In addition to the integration with Apple, Render Network recently moved its core product to the Solana blockchain. The
Render community approved the network’s expansion to the Solana blockchain, after a governance vote which proposed
to deploy their burn-to-mint mechanism away from Polygon.
Why Solana?
Developers prefer to use Solana for its high performance, scalability, low fees, developer-friendly ecosystem, interoperability,
and support for smart contracts. Solana offers fast transaction processing, can handle high transaction volumes,
and has a reputation for low fees compared to other networks.

How Render can change the World
The rising demand for graphic rendering solutions in industries like VR, gaming, and film production has created a global
shortage of GPUs, which is expected to worsen exponentially as the deglobalization conflict over chip manufacturing
control between the US and China has further complicated the supply chain, making it harder to obtain essential raw
materials.
In this landscape, Render emerges as a game-changing decentralized computing solution. It offers a cheaper, faster, and
easily accessible alternative to traditional rendering methods by harnessing distributed computing power. By tapping
into underutilized resources, Render democratizes high-quality rendering.
In addition, the Metaverse makes Render even more important. If even a fraction of the Metaverse’s vision becomes a
reality, rendering demands will be insatiable. Traditional hardware-based solutions cannot meet this infinite demand,
making Render’s decentralized approach even more valuable.
Render’s strategic positioning and advantages make it a leading player in the industry. By leveraging decentralized computing,
Render overcomes the limitations of centralized GPU power, addressing the current shortage and paving the way
for a sustainable rendering future.
Solana DePIN Narrative Strengthens
Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) are a significant development in blockchain technology. DePIN
utilizes tokens as incentives to encourage communities to collaboratively construct physical infrastructure networks and
decentralized applications (dApps) such as charging stations and telecommunications systems.
Hivemapper
The Hivemapper Network is a revolutionary mapping system that incentivizes map coverage, quality, and freshness
through ownership. By installing a 4K dashcam on their vehicles, contributors earn a new cryptocurrency (HONEY) and
become part owners of a decentralized global map. This decentralized approach disrupts the dominance of monopolies
and governments in the mapping industry, creating a constantly updated, high-quality map owned collectively by its
contributors.

Tekkon
Tekkon is an innovative app that merges the captivating qualities of Pokemon Go with the objective of collecting data
that aids in the maintenance of power lines and water networks. Developed by the Whole Earth Foundation, Tekkon
aims to significantly reduce the cost of maintenance for public utilities by encouraging everyday citizens to contribute
valuable data about their communities’ infrastructure.
Through a combination of technology, social engagement, and a fun, gamified approach, Tekkon is transforming the way
public utilities manage infrastructure maintenance.
Helium
The Helium Network is a decentralized wireless network explicitly designed for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. It operates
using a unique blockchain-based infrastructure and incentivization system to facilitate the deployment and operation
of IoT devices.
Helium shut down its own blockchain and migrated into the Solana network, as it garners the right conditions to support
the long-term growth of Helium’s mission.
Conclusion
Render is a decentralized computing solution that revolutionizes rendering amid a global GPU shortage and the growing
demand for the Metaverse. With the escalating demand for graphic rendering solutions and the challenges posed by the
deglobalization conflict over chip manufacturing, Render offers a cheaper, faster, and easily accessible alternative. With
the migration of its burn-and-mint mechanism from Polygon to Solana, the Solana DePIN narrative strengthens.

@cryptofed_
As a photographer irl, I’ve always appreciated & collected art. This interest grew as I started to explore the Solana
NFT scene on @exchgART this year. In this thread, I’ll highlight the art I’ve personally collected & amazing artists I’ve
discovered.
@tornado_ilus
I love these pieces. Incredibly unique art style that makes you feel like you’re in a different universe. Very relatable art
for any of my stoner friends out there.
@_Collstro_
Super talented pixel artist that’s working on @The_KnightOrder with some captivating lore. Known him for a bit in the
space and he deserves more recognition.
SHILL Issue #111
@artikudee
Discover these more recently, but the art is just so clean and
well done. The characters all fit perfectly and feel like its
own little world.
@karl7_7
I love these cause it’s not your typical pfp art that we see
a lot in this space. The animations are always absolutely
killer on all his car collection.
@JRDNzs
You’ll prob recognize my pfp, so this had to be included
on the list. I’m a sucker for pixel art and JRDN is one of the
best.
@theHome113
Everything dom does, he’s very passionate about and
that reflects in his art. Proud to collect several of his pieces,
but these are some of my favorites.

@hyblinxx
This is prob the biggest name on the list, but holding this
piece so had to include in the thread. Beautiful art and
one of the most popular across all of Solana!
@Vantarighthere
Most pieces are surrounding this character with a yellow
skull and similar to some of the others, just makes me feel
like it’s another world.
@HuansiFTS
Another new artist discovery for me, but I love
how crowded the pieces are with tons of elements
that bring it all together. Also from South
America like myself so I love supporting Latinos.
@bendolgasm
Stunning black and white work on a lot of his art and I just
love how dark yet detailed it all is. Looking to collect more
soon as well.
@PixelQuests
Incredibly detailed landscape pixel art. These is the piece
I’ve collected, but he has tons of beautiful pieces like this
as well. Just zoom in and be amazed by the details.

@billxmono
Staying on the B&W path, this is another artist I’ve been collecting. Incredible work that keeps that dark aesthetic.
@Jonivisual_
This reminds me of an album cover and as a person that loves space, it just fit into my collection perfectly. Artist had
some wonderful work.

@ShiloniousMonk
This must be one of my favorite pieces in my collection as
I have a poster in my room with the similar design, but the
pixel art makes it so much better. This artist also has an
amazing 1/1 collection I’d recommend checking out.
@igel_laron
Beautiful colors and extraterrestrial-like that feels like it’s
right out of a comic. I’m obsessed with this art style and
this artist has an incredible portfolio.
@rvlsky_std
I love trippy and psychedelic type art, so this piece is just
perfect for me. The more you look at it, the more interesting
things you find out about it, similar to all his other
work.

Greetings chiefs!
Following the FTX crash, the Solana NFT Ecosystem
underwent significant changes, changes in
terms of no. of users, volumes and how the community
sees Solana as a chain. However, despite
the impact, it doesn’t lead to an end of promising
projects paving the way to launch their projects in
this ecosystem. For instance, we witnessed a significant
increase in volume following the $BONK
airdrop, which undoubtedly pleased many individuals.
Nonetheless, the number of quality projects
launched declined, and since November of last
year, only a few projects were noteworthy. Furthermore,
only a handful of these projects remain
relevant today.
The most promising of them all launched in April
with the name “Madlads” and it brought the
much-awaited eyes back into the Solana NFT
Space and we saw volume levels that reminded us
of the “GREAT NFT BULA OF 2022”.
Well with the great volume, we get huge FOMO
and a lot of liquidity-draining projects that seem
good at first look but aren’t when you dig deep.
One such project is getting lots of air these days
with the name “Hoopas”
Hoopas as they like to call themselves, a project
which aims to do things a little differently (with
some other similar shiny sentences….)
The first thought I got after going through their
website is the fact that they have spent all their
money in making sure the website looks good and
engaging doesn’t matter what level of dog***t is
written there.
In my 5 minutes of reading whatever was provided
on their website, I couldn’t find anything legit
or something that caught my attention. The one
thing I did come through is that they have paid
their whitepaper writer a total of 10 bucks be-
28 SHILL Issue #111

cause all you can read is the same adjectives in different words like “breaking boundaries”, “redefining limits”.
They have also used all sorts of the classic “to the moon” messages of a telegram shitcoin community in their
whitepaper without actually defining one bit of their plans which makes me wonder which team member
finalised this draft of their whitepaper.
Don’t take my word for it, read the whitepaper and do let me know if any of this makes any sense to you.
Another thing that I found missing from their website is the details about the past experience of their team
members. They have talked about their studio which was formed a year ago, however, no major details about
the founding members are provided for us to see how many feathers they have in their caps.
Now we won’t be talking just about the red flags I found in the project but also some of the things that they
have executed in a good manner.
Website
The best thing about the project in my opinion is their website. It is clean, smooth and easy to navigate. Probably
the best website I have come across in this space.
Art
Everyone can have different opinions on this aspect and I liked the art personally. I liked the fact that they have
chosen 6 different factions to represent their art. However, I don’t believe it will look good as a PFP.
Tribe Lounge
This part of the website also looks great to me. They have built something to make sure their community
doesn’t stop engaging with the project till the mint and gets rewarded for the same.
To conclude, I would say that the project is nowhere close to its main competitors in terms of vision and overall
structure.
If you compare the project with Claynosaurz (which is actually doing great since launch) you will find nothing
in common and everything opposite to what a successful project might look like.
If we talk about the team, the website designer and the marketing manager are the ones working extra hard to
compensate for the lapses of their CEO.
The thing going about Hoopas is the fact that Madlads volume leads a lot of people into FOMO and they want
to go all-in in the next shiny thing doesn’t matter how bad it is. The evidence of it is the volume their banana
collection is clocking on ME.
From my first look at the project, it looks like a cash grab to me which will drain the liquidity from the ecosystem
once again. However, I won’t mind being proved wrong by the team and their efforts.
I won’t recommend anyone going near the secondary listing unless something changes which I will update you
guys about via my Twitter.
As always DYOR.

@HolyGrails_io
The role of community in the Holygrails NFT marketplace, and how it fosters engagement among creators and
GM Homies Who is Saki?, And what is the story behind it?
Well, we created Saki and at first it was supposed to be “Saka” in Malay it is some kind of Jinn that live in human. But then
we changed it into Saki at the last minute so it can be pronounced easily.
Saki is a young orphan Boy who lives in the orphan house within hood, he’s getting all the abuse he can get from the surrounding.
Crying is something he never knew and he lives with a cold face-like mask to hide his unknown dark emotion,
the real world for him is his imagination.
32 SHILL Issue #111

Time flies and he grows into a fine teenager, still wearing his cold face-like mask. Homies around him can’t even comprehend
and predict his feelings or his real face. Thus, to make things easier, he learns how to surface a fake emotion and face and
becoming whoever he wants.
The story of this sorry kid named Saki has been embedded into comics, although it looks fine and all, the dark behind him
will always tail him for the rest of his life. He is in the Gang now and he could be anywhere even beside you homies right
now!

All the 88 collection is what stands for his emotion and what he can become. But don’t mistake him for any normal teenager,
he can get violent in the most silent manner. Check it out, our current Saki Gang collections below thread.

Twitter: @TheFoxClubSOL
What is The Fox Club and what do they do? Initially known as Bombr Mines, the project rebranded in September 2022
and is now known as @TheFoxClubSOL with a whole new goal in mind, to foster a strong community and provide free
tools for founders to succeed in this space.
@IamCazper and @CyronicaNFT are the founders of the project and are spearheading most of the pivots made to the
project.
126 SHILL Issue #111

Since their pivot back in September, behind the amazing art upgrade lies various tools and a community that is truly
supportive of everything that the project rolls out. Let’s take a look at the tools, services and initiatives that they have
released.
1. DTMs 2. Systems Development 3. Merchandise 4. Onyx Branding 5. $CHITZ
DTMs Before their pivot, @TheFoxClubSOL (previously known as Bombr Mines) revolves around DTMs and the rev share
that comes with it. They have decided to remain this feature and make it even better by putting in an insane amount of
rewards that can be won.
Quote Tweet
The Fox Club @TheFoxClubSOL
The Biggest DTM of 2023 is coming tomorrow! Only 0.5 $SOL per play, 50% of profits are shared with holders! Massive
prizes including: @y00tsNFT @JellyeSportsNFT @FamousFoxFed @okaybears @GhostKidDAO @AlphaPharaohs @
immortalsSOL AND MORE! #SolanaNFTs #Solana
$CHITZ The ecosystem token for @TheFoxClubSOL which can be used in many occasions such as their merchandise,
raffles, auctions and even DTMs.
What does holding a fox grant you? 1. Revenue Share 2. Staking for $CHITZ

Revenue Share Every week, @TheFoxClubSOL will distribute their earnings from DTM machines and 50% of the royalties
back to the holders! All the holder needs to do is stake 2 foxes and they’ll be eligible! Their last reported distribution was
0.237 SOL per pair of fox!
Staking for $CHITZ The only way to obtain $CHITZ is through staking. Every fox is able to yield 30 $CHITZ / day and the
cap for $CHITZ is 20M.
Rev share project, with good utility and an active community?
@TheFoxClubSOL has it all! Love to see more coming from the project soon!

@kartunetwork93
I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this, at least in my experience. Earlier today, the free airdrop to holders post
mint as an experimental token (Genesis Medallions) flipped the main collection (Bounty Hunters). What’s the
alpha? BHs undervalued or GMs overvalued?
Bounty Hunters
What exactly is Drage’s Lootbox, you ask? Ah, Drage’s Lootbox, the elusive treasure trove of riches from the man
Along with a smaller supply, GMs are in demand now due to additional access to the lootbox raffles. BH holder stats:
investor tech) to build in. Bullrun adoption could see this
really take off.
I hold my fair share of BHs and I’m #BHullish for sure for
the long run & will be accumulating at current levels. But
if you need more convincing, I’m sure the team led by
@_OrgChaos will be able to do just that!
So, we can see that GMs hold a short-term incentive on
limited supply (with potential future benefits for holders).
BH is the core collection for Simpl3r & gives you access to
community, alpha & an avenue to be involved in the iteration
process (team take feedback seriously)
Holding a BH doesn’t grant any revshare and $CREDITS you
get from staking are not on-chain not hv an LP due to legal
constraints. However the team are discussing / working with
the community to develop more holder value mechanisms.
IMO (NFA) BHs are valued as they are right now due to the
lack of apparent holder value in the short term. But this is a
team that listens, is willing to pivot / adapt, & experienced
in the web3 space.
Building investor / infrastructure tech in the bear is the first
step towards bringing web3 to a larger audience in the next
bullrun. With FLUENT, Simpl3r have carved a niche (B2B

My artworks available on Solana
In 2022 I started 2 1/1 series on exchange art: the Insect Syndicate, a group of cyborg warriors designed after
iconic arthropods, portrayed in mixed media animations. And Mythopoeia: a series of elemental gods.
All these artworks start as sketches on paper, later inked, scanned and digitally painted. Some of the Insect Syndicate
artworks are available for a 1.2 SOL reserve Some of the Mythopoeia ones for 1.5 SOL https://exchange.art/
A Glance at Solana History - The Art Collab Meta.
SHILL Issue #111
137

What was the Art Collab Meta? The Art Collab Meta was a
period when projects would collab with each other, combining
their different art styles to create a new collection This
new collection would then be air dropped to the holders of
each project.
Gothic Degens
@GothicDegens were the first to popularize Art Collabs,
collaborating with communities such as @GhostKidDAO, @
MonkeDAO, and many others.
Gothic Primates - 4.07 Gothic Stoned Apes - 1.24 Gothic
Taiyos - 1.08 Gothic Boryoku Dragons - 3.02 Gothic ABC -
3.7 Gothic SMB - 0.72
After the success of Gothic Degens, we began to see many
projects popping up around the space trying to mimic
what they created Another project that broke grounds
during this meta was Infected Mob
The Gothic Goblet A key piece to the art collabs, these
Goblets granted a guaranteed air drop for all Gothic Degen
collabs.
The hype from these collabs grew so big that it shot Gothic
Degen up to an 18.65 Sol ATH from a .069 mint price and
even caught the eye of Frank Their Air Drops hit the following
ATHs: Gothic Goblet - 121.84 Gothic Ghosts - 4.52 Gothic
Goofy Gorillas - 7.05 SolGoths - 3.5
Infected Mob
@mobstudios_ went in a different direction with their
collabs, which included a lore based approach to their
air drops Holding certain traits, DAOs, or one of their
other collections earned you an increased opportunity to
receive air drops.

During what was called ‘The Infection’, Mob Studios collab’d with the communities of well-known projects such as:
- @DeGodsNFT -@Primatesnft - @JellyRascal
- And more
The hype from these collabs grew the Infected Mob floor to an ATH of 7.35 SOL Their Air Drops hit the following ATHs:
Infected JNGL (Primates) - 42.56 Infected Solympus (Degods) - 36.87 Infect Bears (Okay Bears) - 11.58 Infected Rascals
(Jelly Rascals) - 6.4
Other notable projects to pop up during this Meta were: - AI Degens (ATH: 19.9) - Degen Dummies (ATH: 2.1) - The Unveiled
(ATH: 2.38) - Jishin Degens (ATH: 0.21)
Conclusion
Just like any Meta, the hype has come and gone, but if there’s one thing to be said about this era, it’s this: This meta was
the peak of project partnerships and gave us just a small taste of the possibilities that arise when projects work together.

Lovely to have you here with me to practice our obsession of all things poetry…
now if you please let’s keep meandering down the lane of poetic device. You may
be thinking, how many poetic devices can there be? Well, with that in mind, let’s
review another one called Envelope. There are many ways to use Envelope as a
device in your poetic work. Firstly, Envelope is where a line repeats at the
beginning and the end of each stanza. Or, you can Envelope an entire stanza
meaning the first and last stanzas are the same in your piece. And lastly, if you
want to be extremely fancy, you can use Envelope within your rhyming pattern.
A -this line rhymes with the last line
B -this one rhymes with the third line
B-this one rhymes with the second
A-this line rhymes with the first line – Now not only have you learned how to use
Envelope in structure, you can see here that Envelope can be used in cadence,
rhythm and rhyme as well. An Envelope poem does not have to rhyme but it must
have one of the two mirrored repetitions in structure mentioned above.
Hypothetically you could use all 3 in one piece or only one Envelope. The beauty
about poetry’s construction is that the writer has the power to choose how they
will implement any device within their work. Envelope is another device that must
be used with a deft hand. I know with practice that you will be able to implement
Envelope within your work effortlessly.
WITH SENTIENTSHAPES
1/3

So with that, let’s practice together!
WITH SENTIENTSHAPES
Step 1: Grab your utensils, my favorite is a notebook and black ink pen but your
Notes App will also be just fine! Let’s begin with a topic that we would like to draft
our piece around…this week I’m choosing distraction as my topic.
Step 2: The most fun step of this process is the brainstorming! It’s time to think of
themes, ideas, and symbols that will help you get your poetic point across to your
reader. Come up with a few ideas based around the topic you chose. i.e. This
damn phone! Big piles of giveaway clothes and Trailer Park Boys. This damn
phone! *See what I did there?
Step 3: Time to add the main ingredient to your poetry dish. Continue to
brainstorm as you write out your poem within the structure that only you could
create! This is where you have the freedom to choose how you will use grammar
and structure to highlight your topic and theme. I personally do not like predefined
structure and prefer to use Free Verse which allows me to create a particular
structure individually for each poem that I write.
Step 4: The ending…time to wrap it up y’all! Since this is an Envelope practice
make sure that your ending mirrors your beginning and you’ll be well on your
way to finishing up your Envelope poem.
2/3

WITH SENTIENTSHAPES
So here’s what I came up with:
Distraction
i wonder what i could see
if hidden in distraction
i wouldn't be
this damn phone!
can’t even take the batteries out anymore
shit, i’ll slam it in the door
pieces i’ve sewn
this damn show!
how did they know
i’d be glued to the floor
nowhere i go
this damn phone!
wishing on ‘09
texting like you’re still alive
this damn phone!
i wonder what i could see
if hidden in distraction
i wouldn't be
Ahh…now remember even if the poem needs some editing the most important part
is that you’ve gotten it down for the first draft! Feel free to visit your Envelopes and
edit them over and over again. The beauty of practice is that it gets easier over time.
I would love to see some of your Envelope poems in my DMs!
So message me here until next time…
