Bloomberg launches Hosting Solution for
Asia FX clients
Bloomberg has launched its Asia-Pacific
regional hosting solution in Singapore,
greatly improving FX pricing and trade
negotiation on its multi-bank FXGO
trading platform. Low-latency hardware
and software optimizations implemented
in Singapore have optimized pricing by
major international and regional liquidity
providers, improving best execution and
reducing transaction costs for regional
FX market participants. Several major
international investment banks have
already connected to the solution in
Singapore, delivering an enriched FX
trading environment for clients and
helping to contribute to the growth and
development of Singapore as an APAC
center of FX liquidity distribution. “We
are pleased to be supporting the region’s
FX community by consistently deploying
cutting-edge technology in areas that
matter most to our clients,” said Tod
Van Name, Global Head of FX Electronic
Trading at Bloomberg. “We cannot
underestimate the growth potential of
FX trading in the Asia-Pacific region,
especially as trading electronically
continues to gain momentum.” He
Tod Van Name
added, “We will continue to invest
in additional solutions that will bring
greater operational efficiencies
and transparency for our global FX
community.”
QubeAlgo being rolled out to broader market
NEWS
QubeAlgo, which has been live with
a select group of clients, is now being
rolled out to the broader market,
providing highly customizable solutions
that empower quants and developers
to build bespoke, multi-asset, electronic
trading applications, often with minimal
code.QubeAlgo’s asset-agnostic software
(Qube) is designed to significantly speed
up development of complex e-trading
applications, making it much easier
and more cost-effective to develop,
test, and deploy sophisticated e-trading
models and algorithms. Co-founders
Martin Zinkin and Jeff Leal have spent
their careers building award-winning
quantitative and algorithmic trading
frameworks inside top-tier investment
Martin Zinkin
banks, laying the foundation for the
launch of QubeAlgo. “We’ve built similar
solutions to Qube at our previous firms,
and now in its 5th generation, it is even
more powerful than its predecessors,”
says Zinkin. “We’ve spent a lot of time
over the years on low level technology, on
build and deployment issues, data and
environment, and cumbersome testing
processes. We had a vision of a system
that would allow quants and developers
to be much more productive and allow
them to focus instead on models and
business logic.”
