Use QUERY QIOASSIST to determine the current status of the queue-I/O assist for
a virtual machine. The setting for queue-I/O assist is controlled by the SET
QIOASSIST command.
FOR, USER
optional parameters that can be used when querying the status for a particular
user.
userid
* specifies an individual user for which the queue-I/O assist status is to be
reported. An asterisk (*), which is the default, specifies the virtual machine (user
ID) from which the command is issued.
1. When the setting for all users is OFF, eligibility for queue-I/O assist is disabled
for all virtual machines, including any new users that may logon, regardless of
the individual setting.
When the setting for all users is ON, then the individual user setting determines
whether queue-I/O assist is allowed or disallowed for the requested user ID.
The response displays the setting for all users, followed, if appropriate, by the
individual user setting and status, which is one of the following:
ACTIVE
the specified userid is currently enabled to use the queue-I/O assist for devices
that support the queued-I/O protocols.
PENDING ACTIVE
the specified userid is in the process of being enabled to use the queue-I/O
assist.
