Use QUERY PINNED to display the data tracks of one or more DASD that have<br />

become pinned in subsystem storage (cache) or nonvolatile storage.<br />

This comm<strong>and</strong> may also be used to determine the total amount of subsystem<br />

storage (cache) or nonvolatile storage that contains pinned data.<br />

DEVICE<br />

indicates that pinned tracks for the specified devices are to be displayed. This is<br />

the default value.<br />

SUBSYStem<br />

indicates that the total amount of subsystem cache <strong>and</strong> nonvolatile storage<br />

containing pinned data is to be displayed.<br />

rdev<br />

rdev1-rdev2<br />

is the real device number, a list of real device numbers, or a range of real<br />

device numbers of devices in the subsystems being queried.<br />

1. This comm<strong>and</strong> may be issued to offline devices.<br />

Response 1:<br />

The following response is displayed for each specified device that does not have<br />

any pinned tracks when you enter QUERY PINNED DEVICE:<br />

rdev No pinned tracks exist for this device.<br />

is the real device number of a device being queried.<br />
