The QUERY OBSERVER command has two formats, one for privilege classes A, B,
and C and another for privilege class G.

Use QUERY OBSERVER to display which virtual machine receives the line-mode
output produced on your or another virtual machine’s console.
* indicates that the issuer’s observer status is to be displayed. This is the default.
ALL
causes the identifiers and status of all observers to be displayed.
userid
is the user whose observer status is to be displayed. If you are a Class G user,
you may only specify your own user IDs.
1. The initial setting for your observer is determined by the CONSOLE statement
in your user directory entry.
2. You can use the class G version of the SET OBSERVER command to change
the setting of your virtual machine’s observer. You can use the class A or C
version of the SET OBSERVER command to change another virtual machine’s
observer. For more information, see “SET OBSERVER” on page 1308.
