MFS<br />

mfssize indicates the Maximum Frame Size. It is displayed only for<br />

HiperSockets adapters.<br />

RX packets<br />

rxpackets is the number of packets received.<br />

TX packets<br />

txpackets is the number of packets transmitted.<br />

Discarded<br />

nnn indicates the number of packets discarded.<br />

Errors<br />

nnn indicates the number of error packets discarded.<br />

RX bytes<br />

rxbytes is the number of bytes received.<br />

TX bytes<br />

txbytes is the number of bytes transmitted.<br />

Connection Name<br />

groupid is the name assigned by your communications software to this<br />

connection.<br />

State<br />

description represents the current state of this connection (usually “Session<br />

Established”).<br />

Device<br />

vdev is one of the devices assigned to this connection.<br />

Unit<br />

nnn indicates the relative device number on this adapter (the base device is unit<br />

000).<br />

Role<br />

role is the role assigned to this device (CTL-READ, CTL-WRITE, or DATA).<br />

VLAN<br />

nnnn(n) indicates the effective VLAN ID or IDs for the device. Multiple VLAN ID<br />

lines may be shown if the virtual switch is protected by an ESM.<br />

status is ″Assigned by system″ or ″Assigned by user″. If the specified VLAN ID<br />

conflicts with the authorizations for this user, ″Conflicting VLAN ID″ is displayed.<br />

Router<br />

type ipversion indicates the adapter has configured itself as a router with type<br />

Primary, Secondary or Multicast in IP version IPv4 or IPv6. vlan is either VLAN<br />

followed by the VLAN ID, if it is a VLAN-specific router, or Global, if it is a<br />

global router. If it is a global router, lines will follow to describe which VLAN IDs<br />

the adapter is routing for.<br />

The router line is displayed only when a router is configured.<br />

QUERY NIC<br />

Options<br />

options indicates the currently enabled features for this interface, such as<br />

Broadcast, Multicast, IPv4 or IPv6.<br />

ipaddr<br />

represents one Unicast IP address that has been registered to this device <strong>and</strong><br />

optional information relating to the IP address.<br />
