Use QUERY LAN to display information about the designated <strong>VM</strong> LAN (or any LAN<br />

in the System LAN Table).<br />

The Class G form of the comm<strong>and</strong> allows the invoker to view any information about<br />

any UNRESTRICTED LAN. For a RESTRICTED LAN, the invoker can view<br />

information if the invoker is the owner of the LAN, in the <strong>CP</strong> access list for the LAN,<br />

or if the invoker currently has an adapter connected to the LAN.<br />

The Class B form of the comm<strong>and</strong> allows the invoker to view information about any<br />

LAN in the system, regardless of COUPLE authorization.<br />

ALL<br />

indicates a request for “all” possible <strong>VM</strong> LAN segments, regardless of lanname<br />

value. This is the default when an explicit lanname is omitted.<br />

lanname<br />

NAME lanname<br />

restricts the responses to <strong>VM</strong> LAN segments with the specified lanname. Both<br />

lanname <strong>and</strong> ownerid must be known to fully qualify a LAN.<br />

ANYOWNER<br />

indicates a request for all qualified <strong>VM</strong> LAN segments, regardless of ownerid<br />

value. This is the default if OWNERid is omitted.<br />

OWNERid *<br />

OWNERid ownerid<br />

OWNERid SYSTEM<br />

restricts the responses to <strong>VM</strong> LAN segments owned by the specified ownerid.<br />

When OWNERid * is specified, it indicates any LAN owned by the invoker.<br />

ANYTYPE<br />

indicates a request for any LAN regardless of LAN TYPE (Hipersockets or<br />

QDIO). This is the default when the TYPE oper<strong>and</strong> is omitted.<br />
