identifies the number of frames in the internal <strong>CP</strong> trace table.<br />

AVAIL<br />

identifies the number of frames available for use— that is, frames that are not<br />

any of the following types:<br />

PAGNUC<br />

identifies the number of additional frames currently in use by the <strong>CP</strong><br />

nucleus.<br />

LOCKRS<br />

identifies the number of frames currently locked for I/O operations.<br />

LOCK<strong>CP</strong><br />

identifies the number of frames currently locked using the <strong>CP</strong> LOCK<br />

comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

SAVE<br />

identifies the number of frames currently in use by the save area manager<br />

for dynamic save areas or <strong>CP</strong>EBKs.<br />

FREE<br />

identifies the number of frames currently in use by the free storage<br />

management routines.<br />

LOCKRIO<br />

is always zero.<br />

Online<br />

identifies the number of online <strong>and</strong> therefore usable frames >= 2G<br />

Available List<br />

identifies the number of >= 2G frames that are available for allocation<br />

Not init<br />

identifies the number of >= 2G frames that have not yet been tested to see if<br />

they are actually online<br />

Offline<br />

identifies the number of >= 2G frames that are offline <strong>and</strong> therefore not usable<br />

The following relationships hold true:<br />

USABLE + OFFLINE = REAL (or SYSGEN, whichever is less)<br />

USABLE = RESNUC + PAGING + TRACE<br />

PAGING = AVAIL + PAGNUC + LOCKRS + LOCK<strong>CP</strong> + SAVE + FREE<br />

Note: Frames used to satisfy DIAGNOSE code X'98' lock requests are part of the<br />

normal PAGING area <strong>and</strong> are counted as LOCKRS frames.<br />
