information on files belonging to your alternate user ID. For a class G user, the<br />

asterisk (*) is the default.<br />

ALL<br />

queries all of your files <strong>and</strong> is the default.<br />

CLass c<br />

designates an existing spool file class; the oper<strong>and</strong> c is a 1-character<br />

alphanumeric field from A through Z or 0 through 9.<br />

QUERY FILES<br />

spoolid<br />

identifies the file to be queried; this number is assigned by the system. This<br />

option is not valid with the SYSTEM keyword, nor can it be used if a class D<br />

user is defaulting to SYSTEM. This option can only be used by a class D user if<br />

a user ID or an asterisk (*) is specified in the comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

FORM form<br />

indicates that you want to count the number of spool files with the specified<br />

form. The oper<strong>and</strong> form is one to eight characters long. For the class G user,<br />

form is the user form name. For the class D operator, form is the user form<br />

name when asterisk (*) is specified. Otherwise, form is the operator form<br />

number.<br />

DEST dest<br />

indicates that you want to count the number of spool files with the specified<br />

destination value. The oper<strong>and</strong> dest is a one to eight character name.<br />

HOld<br />

NOHold<br />

SYShold<br />

USERhold<br />

indicates that you want to query files that are in a particular hold status. Specify<br />

HOLD to query files that are in user or system hold. Specify USERHOLD to<br />

query files that have only user hold in effect. Specify SYSHOLD to query files<br />

that have only system hold in effect. Specify NOHOLD to query files that are<br />

not in user or system hold.<br />

A file that is in hold status cannot be processed by a spooling device; you can<br />

use CHANGE to alter the file’s hold status.<br />

XFER ALL<br />

XFER ALTID<br />

XFER userid1<br />

indicates that you want to query files generated by the specified user ID or<br />

ALTID <strong>and</strong> owned by another user ID. Class D users may use the SYSTEM<br />

option to obtain a count of all files in the system owned by a user ID other than<br />

the originating user ID. XFER userid1 displays a count of the spool files<br />

generated by the specified user ID or ALTID <strong>and</strong> which are owned by the user<br />

specified as userid1. Files generated <strong>and</strong> owned by the same user are not<br />

counted. XFER ALTID displays a count of files generated by the specified user<br />

ID <strong>and</strong> owned by ALTID. XFER ALL displays a count of all spool files generated<br />

by the specified user ID or ALTID <strong>and</strong> which are not owned by the originating<br />

user ID.<br />

AVAIL<br />

displays only a count of available files, not those files that are open or in use.<br />
