Use QUERY F<strong>CP</strong> to display the status of real F<strong>CP</strong> Adapter devices.<br />

QUERY F<strong>CP</strong><br />

ACTive<br />

indicates active F<strong>CP</strong> Adapter devices. An active device is one that is in use by<br />

a user or the system <strong>and</strong> is specified as neither FREE nor OFFLINE.<br />

AGEnt<br />

indicates the Fibre Channel Protocol Agent device. The F<strong>CP</strong> Agent device is<br />

used to control F<strong>CP</strong> configuration.<br />

ALL<br />

indicates all F<strong>CP</strong> Adapter devices attached to the system. The status is<br />

displayed in the order of ACTIVE, FREE, <strong>and</strong> OFFLINE. You receive the same<br />

response as you would receive if you entered all of the following comm<strong>and</strong>s:<br />

v query osa active<br />

v query osa free<br />

v query osa offline<br />

ATTach userid<br />

indicates the F<strong>CP</strong> devices that are dedicated to a user on the system. If you<br />

specify userid, only F<strong>CP</strong> devices attached to that user’s virtual machine are<br />

indicated. If you do not specify userid, you receive the status of all F<strong>CP</strong> devices<br />

dedicated to any user on the system. Attached devices are always active.<br />

BOXed<br />

indicates the F<strong>CP</strong> devices that are unavailable (usually because of a hardware<br />

condition). A boxed adapter can also be active, free, or offline.<br />

FREe<br />

indicates all free F<strong>CP</strong> devices. A free F<strong>CP</strong> device is one that is not currently in<br />

use by a user or the system <strong>and</strong> is specified as neither ACTIVE nor OFFLINE.<br />

OFFline<br />

indicates all offline F<strong>CP</strong> devices. An offline F<strong>CP</strong> device is one that is specified<br />

as neither ACTIVE nor FREE.<br />
