Use QUERY EDEVICE to display the device type and other detailed information
associated with an emulated device.
rdev
rdev1-rdev2
specifies the emulated devices for which you want information to be displayed.
Each rdev must be a hexadecimal device number between X'0000' and
X'FFFF'.
DETAILS
displays detailed information associated with an emulated device.
ALL
displays information for all emulated devices in the system, but does not include
the information that is displayed with the DETAILS operand.
1. For queries that contain device numbers that represent emulated and
non-emulated devices, responses will be generated only for emulated devices.
2. If you query an emulated device that was cleared with the SET EDEVICE
command, the response will indicate that the device is still an emulated device,
but no other information is associated with it.
Response 1:
To query the emulated devices in the device range 300-304, enter the following:
q edev 300-304
EDEV 0300 TYPE FBA ATTRIBUTES 2105
EDEV 0302 TYPE FBA ATTRIBUTES SCSI
EDEV 0303 TYPE FBA ATTRIBUTES 2105

Note: Devices in the range that are not emulated devices do not appear in the
response.
