Use QUERY DATEFORMAT to display the current default date format for the<br />

system or an individual user.<br />

USER<br />

tells <strong>CP</strong> to display the default date format for this user.<br />

SYSTEM<br />

tells <strong>CP</strong> to display the default date format for the system.<br />

1. If your user default date format is set to (or defaults to) the system-wide default<br />

date format, <strong>and</strong> the system-wide default is changed, the response to QUERY<br />

DATEFORMAT USER will continue to indicate the old system-wide default as<br />

your user default until you either log off <strong>and</strong> log back on or issue the SET<br />

DATEFORMAT SYSDEFAULT comm<strong>and</strong> to switch to the new system-wide<br />

default.<br />

Response 1:<br />

If you issue QUERY DATEFORMAT USER, <strong>and</strong> your user default date format is set to<br />

SHORTDATE, FULLDATE, or ISODATE, you will get one of the following<br />

responses:<br />

User Dateformat = SHORTDATE<br />

User Dateformat = FULLDATE<br />

User Dateformat = ISODATE<br />

Response 2:<br />

If you issue QUERY DATEFORMAT USER, <strong>and</strong> your user default date format is set to (or<br />

defaults to) the system-wide default, you will get one of the following responses:<br />

User Dateformat = SHORTDATE (SYSDEFAULT)<br />

User Dateformat = FULLDATE (SYSDEFAULT)<br />

User Dateformat = ISODATE (SYSDEFAULT)<br />
