NAme fname ftype<br />

NAme dsname<br />

NAME indicates the name is to be assigned to the spool file for identification.<br />

For output files, this name appears on the separator page or cards.<br />

Use fname ftype to name files in the CMS file name <strong>and</strong> file type format. Each<br />

of these fields is a 1- to 8-character alphanumeric name. If you omit the ftype<br />

field, blanks are substituted.<br />

If you want to name files in a format suitable for MVS <br />

use (for example,<br />

SYS1.SYSLIB.MAC1), use dsname. This name can be up to 24 characters<br />

long; however, if dsname is more than 16 characters long, it is truncated.<br />

If specified, the NAME option must be the last oper<strong>and</strong> entered.<br />

NOName<br />

resets the NAME information to blanks.<br />

Response 1:<br />

{nnnnnnn} FILE(S) CHANGED<br />

{ NO}<br />

indicates how many files have been changed. This response is sent to the user<br />

issuing the CHANGE comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

Response 2:<br />

If you use the TO keyword to transfer a spool file to another user, the following<br />

response is sent to you <strong>and</strong> to the user receiving the file (if that user is active on<br />

the system):<br />

1. In the response sent to the operator receiving the file, spd1 <strong>and</strong> spd2 will be in<br />

the reverse order of that shown in the following response.<br />

2. If an external security manager is installed on your system, this comm<strong>and</strong> will<br />

fail if you are not authorized to CHANGE the spool file TO the specified user.<br />
