Use QUERY CTCA to display the status of real channel-to-channel adapters.<br />

ACTive<br />

indicates active channel-to-channel adapters. An active device is one that is in<br />

use by a user or the system <strong>and</strong> is specified as neither FREE nor OFFLINE.<br />

ALL<br />

indicates all channel-to-channel adapters attached to the system. The status is<br />

displayed in the order of ACTIVE, FREE, <strong>and</strong> OFFLINE. You receive the same<br />

response as you would receive if you entered all of the following comm<strong>and</strong>s:<br />

query ctca active<br />

query ctca free<br />

query ctca offline<br />

QUERY CTCA<br />

ATTach userid<br />

indicates the channel-to-channel adapters that are dedicated to a user on the<br />

system. If you specify userid, only adapters attached to that user’s virtual<br />

machine are indicated. If you do not specify userid, you receive the status of all<br />

adapters dedicated to any user on the system. Attached devices are always<br />

active.<br />

BOXed<br />

indicates the channel-to-channel adapters that are unavailable (usually because<br />

of a hardware condition). A boxed adapter can also be active, free, or offline.<br />

FREe<br />

indicates all free channel-to-channel adapters. A free adapter is one that is not<br />

currently in use by a user or the system <strong>and</strong> is specified as neither ACTIVE nor<br />

OFFLINE.<br />

OFFline<br />

indicates all offline channel-to-channel adapters. An offline adapter is one that is<br />

specified as neither ACTIVE nor FREE.<br />
