QUERY CPXLOAD
Usage Notes
752 z/VM: CP Commands and Utilities Reference
configuration file statement to load these CP routines into CP’s system
execution space. Each loadid must be a 1-digit to 10-digit decimal number
between 0 and 2,147,483,647.
Userid SYSTEM
tells CP that you want to display only the customer-written CP routines loaded
using CPXLOAD statements in the system configuration file.
Userid userid
tells CP that you want to display only the customer-written CP routines loaded
by a specific user ID. The variable userid must be a 1-character to 8-character
alphanumeric string that represents a virtual machine on your system that is, or
was, capable of issuing CPXLOAD commands.
1. To load customer-written CP routines into CP’s system execution space, use the
CPXLOAD command (page 101). In response to your CPXLOAD command, CP
assigns and displays a load identifier (load ID). This load ID is a number
between 0 and 2,147,483,647 that identifies the CP routines that you loaded. If
you ever want to unload these routines (using the CPXUNLOAD command), you
must specify the load ID in the command for CP to know what to unload.
If you do not know the load ID for some CP routines that have already been
loaded, you can use one of the following operands:
v ALL (which is the default) to display information about all of the CP routines
that have been loaded.
v EPNAME name to display information about only the routines associated with
a specific entry point name.
v USERID SYSTEM to display information about only the routines loaded by
the system configuration file at initialization.
v USERID userid to display information about only the routines loaded by a
specific user after initialization.
2. To remove customer-written CP routines from CP’s system execution space,
use the CPXUNLOAD command (page 107).After unloading the CP routines,
CP frees the load ID and clears the information that was being stored about
those CP routines. CP will not reuse this load ID until such time as your system
is reinitialized.
3. For more information about loading customer-written CP routines into CP’s
system execution space, see the z/VM: CP Exit Customization book.
4. The addresses displayed by QUERY CPXLOAD are host logical addresses
(addresses in CP’s system execution space). Some CP commands, such as
DISPLAY HOST STORAGE, require host real addresses as operands. In z/VM
V5R1, the host logical address for a routine loaded with CPXLOAD is the same
as the host real address and can be used on the DISPLAY HOST STORAGE
command.
