subcomm<strong>and</strong>, the response will include the full subcomm<strong>and</strong> name. See<br />

Status tells you whether the comm<strong>and</strong> is enabled or disabled <strong>and</strong> if the SILENTLY<br />

option is in effect.<br />

<strong>IBM</strong> Class<br />

shows the <strong>IBM</strong> class of the comm<strong>and</strong>. The possible values are:<br />

A this is a system-control comm<strong>and</strong> to be used by the primary system<br />

operator.<br />

B this is a comm<strong>and</strong> for operational control of real devices.<br />

C this is a comm<strong>and</strong> to alter system storage.<br />

D this is a comm<strong>and</strong> for system-wide control of spool files.<br />

E this is a comm<strong>and</strong> to examine system storage.<br />

F this is a comm<strong>and</strong> for service control of real devices.<br />

G this is a general-use comm<strong>and</strong> used to control the functions of a<br />

virtual machine.<br />

0 (zero) this comm<strong>and</strong> has no specific <strong>IBM</strong> class assigned.<br />

PrivClasses<br />

shows the privilege class (or classes) of the comm<strong>and</strong>. This usually<br />

contains 1 or more privilege classes in the range A to Z <strong>and</strong> 1 to 6. It may<br />

also contain “ANY” which indicates that this comm<strong>and</strong> can be issued by<br />

users with any privilege class.<br />

CMDBK Address<br />

shows the comm<strong>and</strong> table entry block address for the comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

Entry Point<br />

shows the name of the entry point which will h<strong>and</strong>le this comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

The <strong>CP</strong> MSG comm<strong>and</strong> is actually an alias for the <strong>CP</strong> MESSAGE comm<strong>and</strong>. <strong>CP</strong><br />

displays different information for an alias than it does for a comm<strong>and</strong>. For example,<br />

to display information for the <strong>CP</strong> MSG comm<strong>and</strong> alias, enter the following:
