Oper<strong>and</strong>s<br />

v An external security manager (ESM) is installed<br />

v Security label checking is enabled, <strong>and</strong>:<br />

– The user is exempt from ESM authorization checking, or<br />

– The system has been placed in a tranquil state by the security administrator.<br />

For additional information, contact your security administrator.<br />

If you are a class D user, use CHANGE SYSTEM to change any spool files on the<br />

system, regardless of origin.<br />

If you are a class G user, use CHANGE to manipulate files you own or have<br />

created. Though you cannot use the SYSTEM option, you can use the userid option<br />

to manipulate your own files, files owned by your alternate user ID, or files you<br />

have created <strong>and</strong> subsequently transferred.<br />

SYSTEM<br />

allows the class D user to manipulate any files in the system, regardless of<br />

ownership. This is not allowed with the spoolid option.<br />

userid<br />

ALTID<br />

identifies the user whose spool files are to be changed. If you are changing<br />

your own files, you may specify your user ID as an asterisk (*), which is also<br />

the default. ALTID indicates that the files belonging to your alternate user ID are<br />

to be changed.<br />

Printer<br />

PRT<br />

changes printer spool files.<br />

PUnch<br />

PCH<br />

changes punch spool files.<br />

Reader<br />

RDR<br />

changes reader spool files.<br />

TRFiles<br />

specifies that the spool file is to be directed to the system trace files (TRFILES)<br />

queue.<br />

ALL<br />

specifies that all files, regardless of their class, form, or spoolid, are to be<br />

changed.<br />

CLass c<br />

designates a spool file class, where c is a 1-character alphanumeric field from A<br />

to Z or 0 to 9.<br />

DEST dest<br />

specifies a 1- to 8-character name. Use dest to select those files to be<br />

changed.<br />

CHANGE<br />

FORM form<br />

designates a 1- to 8-character form name. Use form to select those files you<br />

want to change. For the Class G user, form is always the user form name. For<br />
