Use QUERY CHPIDS to display all 256 of the machine’s channel paths <strong>and</strong> their<br />

physical status.<br />

1. The QUERY CHPIDS comm<strong>and</strong> shows all 256 channel paths on your system<br />

<strong>and</strong> their physical status. For information about logical channel paths, see the<br />

QUERY CHPID comm<strong>and</strong> (page 704). For information about logical <strong>and</strong><br />

physical channel paths associated with a specific device, see the QUERY<br />

PATHS comm<strong>and</strong> (page 918).<br />

2. If a channel path is in single channel service (SCS) mode, it will appear as “not<br />

configured” in the display.<br />

3. To change the status of the channel paths in your I/O configuration, use one of<br />

the following comm<strong>and</strong>s:<br />

v DEFINE CHPID or PATH (page 124)<br />

v DELETE CHPID or PATH (page 218)<br />

v MODIFY CU or CNTLUNIT (page 604)<br />

v VARY CHPID (page 1700)<br />
