1 This command is only valid for processors running in LPAR mode and for channel path IDs that
are reconfigurable or shared.
2 The maximum number of logical partition names you can specify depends on the capabilities of
your processor.
Use MODIFY CHPID or PATH to change the definition of an existing reconfigurable
or shared channel path identifier (CHPID) in the I/O configuration.
nn is the number of the channel path ID that you are changing. The variable nn
must be a 1- to 2-digit hexadecimal number between X'00' and X'FF'.
CSS nn
is the channel-subsystem ID where the channel path is to be modified. The
variable nn must be a 1- to 2-digit hexadecimal number between X'00' and
X'0F'. Your machine is likely to support less.
Note: This parameter and other parameters that identify different
channel-subsystem IDs require that the logical channel-subsystem facility
be installed.
ADD_partition
tells CP that you want to add one or more logical partitions to the list of logical
partitions that have access to this channel path in the specified or implied
channel-subsystem image.
